Absolutely true, but the PS3 version is the game's last chance at long-term success.
You're right, though. The game should be PC only. MAYBE the Wii-U, but I doubt it.

MZ, from the time it started, till it finished, Besieged was like russian roulette for your xbox crashing.
It seemed really random to me, I could get kicked offf at the start, 3 mins in, and then 4 mins after I get back into it, someone else coulda been knocked off.
I remember lots of us being forced off when that NM came, the evil thing. :P
I just hope with the PS3 copy they dont add another exclusive item code that only applies to newly created characters. I waited to play the game at CE launcher because i had preordered the standard edition as well for the goggles and gotten up the FFXI subscription for the hermes sandals, i like to collect them specific items, going to be damned annoying to have to reroll again in the future D:
While I do agree that the 360 would bring ffxiv down because the ps3 is 2x as powerful, depending on how much I probably wouldnt mind a port. Also I dont think we would see too many 360 limitations because the 360 version would probably be the minority of the playerbase so SE could kill it before it was a problem.
Also (not trying to start the console war debate) I would imagine Microsoft doesnt want cross platform games because somthing that could run at a stable 60fps on ps3 could only run at 25-30fps on 360, because the specs of the 360 are that much worse than the ps3 especially in populated areas. FFXI would also be against it because there were so many problems with the 360 locking up, yes it was probably be down to the programming, but it rasied questions about the 360s quality, which could be another reason why MS dont want cross platform games.
As for the WiiU, I wouldnt say there is enough information about it yet, all I have found on the specs is a 45nm multicore IBM processor, and a 1GB graphics card based on ATI's Radeon 4000 series.
The CPU specs are a little short to say if it will run on WiiU because there is no clock speed or how many cores, a multicore CPU could mean dual core (which i do doubt it would) and we all know how dual core CPUs tend to run ffxiv on PC, however the WiiU would have dedecated gaming hardware that a PC doesnt have.
All things considered I would say its still too soon to speculate a possible WiiU release.
And what quality hardware are you talking about? Mine plays fine and I prefer my 360 to my PS3.
It's not always about how great the graphics are because in the case of XIV.. well I'll rest my case
It has a lower graphical level than the 360 does, but so many people are hating on the 360?Quote:
