Thanks for all the facts guys. Keep 'em coming!
I'm thinking of forming Castrum or Praetorium (exit before the 5 bosses) groups in PF for SB'ing. Should be perfect for SB'ing crafting accessories like I used to.

Thanks Manuka!
5 Banemites, North Shroud (Lv 25)
i36 Mythril Wrists of Craft - 3%
i37 Mythril Earrings - 3%
In protest I'll be making full sets of i45-50 crafted gear to use in every expert roulette I do, in spite of it not getting any SB
Seeing how fast on level SB is now, I think I understand why 70+ no longer auto-converts to Tier IV. Now that NQ stuff binds at ~3% per enemy, a single Brayflox HM run will fully bond i70 HQ and BCoB Turn 4 would do the same for i90 HQ. If they want to keep Tier IV materia at roughly the same quantity as before the nerf/buff they needed to reduce the amount of conversions that would produce Tier IV materia.
I was sb'ing the mythril crafting set on my right side. ilvl35 to ilvl37ish and getting 3 to 5 % sb per kill on 45 lvl mobs. When i killed lvl37 mobs closer to the ilvl i was getting 1 maybe 2 %. So mobs 10 lvls higher def paid sb better.
So doing Zircon accessories in North Shroud.
Items are 48/49, mobs are 47/48.
Items get roughly 0.5% per mob killed.
Going to try CM next...
Overall I76, 49 Ears, started at 32%, were at 49% after clearing trash to first boss of CM.
Wonder if overall Ilvl matters? Will check after CM.
Frankly, this sucks. :/ SB should happen if the gear is within the range of the ilvl required to get into the dungeon, not what drops there (and I think that open world mobs shouldn't have restrictions). I have yet to meld my DoH gear and now I'm guessing i won't be able to afford it.
^Pretty much this. Crafting/Gathering IV actually got a boost from from this. They were only the product of i45-i55 conversions, and w/ the increase rate on appropriate level mobs, that's going to happen much more frequently. I wouldn't be surprised if this extended to Might/Aim IVs too. A lot of the ones of the mb came from people converting i45/55 gear. Materia prices are going to be high due to speculators/buyers who read about the i70 change and got scared, but when people start to realize that Sb'ing an i45-55 set is no longer a 30+ min ordeal, the market is going to be flooded.
Or I could be wrong, which is more than enough reason for the doomsayers/speculators to buy my 699k Might IV (got it after bonding 2 sets for under an hour) from the marketboard >.>
went ST wearing hq 2 material astral crap ( ilvl 70 ), 0% sb.
