I don't understand how to spiritbond and get tier IV materia anymore.

Can we still get tier iv materia from ilvl45 to 55 gear now? Or has it been restricted to a chance from ilvl 70 and above? What was the % chance to get t4 mat before the patch on 45 to 55 gear? was getting a tier 4 mat from 45 and 55 gear the same percent or 55 better chances?

You weren't supposed to be SBing in dungeons before anyway. Bring your best gear or don't show up.

I'm don't think the percentages changed as the patch notes only started it was a change to i70 items. Yes, i45-55 items still drop Tier IV. I sb'd around 10 items and got a Vit IV, a Might IV, and an Eye IV. What is noticeably different and more than likely key to understanding this change is that the rate around appropriate mobs has been increased. I was in Urth's for a little under 40-50mins w/ only +1-+5 sb and I finished the equivalent of 2 i45-49 sets. That is crazy compared to post patch.

You have only dungeon to get i70 sb so i it is normal to do it, because the lowest stuff give only III (okay you have 0.0001% to get a IV) but after you need the good one so 1 chance on 200 ? ... The game want you to spiritbond the 70 gear because of all IV needed in zodiak quest. As well the dungeon restriction is 70, if you have the gear you are okay for the game, nothing else.

Doesn't make it untrue, just means the rule comes from the community and not the devs. If you go in anything besides your best, you're slowing down everyone's runs for tomestones and gear for your own selfish needs, and the community will lynch you for that. Stick to ilvl 49 in Urth's.
