I vote for that.
A healer that uses TP would be a nice twist.
Tanks: Samurai, Puppetmaster
SAM would use katana.
Between PLD and WAR for parry and vitality with addiction of forms/stances granting different bonus effects like dodges, counterattacks, damages or defenses. It would make it dynamic and very versatile while keeping it up to the other two taks.
PUP would be a ranged tank with "puppets". The Automata idea posted before is pretty good. The skills could be close to others tanks but ranged and/or based on magic. A bit different would be if the puppets will not be used as pets but as weapons (something like Lulu from FFX). It would be....... Cute.
Healers: Musician, Chemist
MUS would use a musical instruments obviously.
Some basic targeted heals are needed but its special skills is what would make it fun: playing its istrument will cast a continuously healing/buffing AOE that will follow the MUS slowly consuming TP, or MP, and making you walk slower than usual maybe. There could be damaging/debuffing songs too. It will need a good timing to be used at its best. Think something between BRD songs and Deuce skills from FF Type-0.
CHM isn't something I really want but I was trying to figure out a way to keep the mixing feel without depending on usables items.
As every healer it will need its basic heals, other than that the mix could be done by
1. Chaining different skills within a given time granting effects on the target. Examples: Heal followed by Heal2 will leave a soft HoT on the target while Heal followed by Remedy (Esuna/Leeches like skill) will leave a Resist buff (which can prevent the target to get some debuff for like 10 sec)
2. Leaving stacks on the CHM that will add something to the next cast or change some effect. Examples: casting Healing skills will leave a stack on the CHM, throwing an AOE after this will leave a soft HoT on everyone.
Tank: Beastmaster.
Healer: Beastmaster.
Friends: Beastmaster.
Family: Beastmaster.
Forever alone... Just kidding, COURIER CARRIE BFF~~ <3
Point me to the thread so that I may give it my support.
Considering the focus on gunblades I have a feeling we'll get a gunblade class that'll become Chemist. Tank is pretty much anyone's guess, but I'm hoping for tamer => beastmaster given the supposed focus on Ishgard.
Why go generic classes? Why not a new job and this one is pure support?

Melee healer. Bring on the FF Chanter already !
I think Dancer is the only healer I'd really get excited about. I'd probably have fun with Chemist (unless they required items that were annoyingly expensive), but Dancer is the one that'd make me spaz to people who don't care about this game but put up with my excitement.
Samurai would be cool for a tank. I could also get behind something with a mace as a weapon. Especially if they gave it more of a Holy Knight flavor (i.e., more emphasis on cures and light-ish magic) than PLD has, for the lulz.
