Where did I say that? I'm talking about the nature of RNG in a casual focused game. RNG is not difficulty, but rather, a cheap time sink. Since XIV is a casual focused game, content caters to the casual player. The casual player either doesn't or can't play a large number of hours per week, thus making any artificial time sink even longer, ultimately resulting in said player not able to complete the content while it's still worth completing. This wouldn't be a huge issue if SE didn't invalidate old content every 1-2 patches, but since they decided to use that model, they have to lighten up on the RNG to compensate.
