I don't understand why are you people so upset about this. No one is forcing you to do the event. They're just letting the new people have a chance at it.

it is more to the fact in a lot of games anything labeled as a "special one time event" as a PROMOTION for a game that was about to be released world wide, starts to loose its meaning when they bring it back twice after the game has been out for a long time. another reason people are upset is they make it seem as a massive deal however to people who have done it there is no reason for it. where as most MMO's that bring back an event add in a few new things so people who have already done it originally can grab new stuff.

its basically saying something is a promotional event for a game that isn't released loses itself when it is released twice willy-nilly without anything new for those who have already done it

I'm just going by what Yoshi-P said about cameo characters. If a Final Fantasy character is dead or their story is complete, they can not appear in FFXIV.

Lightning Returns ends with Lightning living in a world void of magic, thus meaning she herself is incapable of traversing dimensions to return to worlds she has visited once before... though strangely enough, the FFXIV cameo in Lightning Returns was incredibly weird and didn't match with how FFXIV handled Lightning's cameo. She was given the Miqo'te clothing by the reporter in FFXIV. In Lightning Returns, she gets it from Chocobo ladies.

I know that, how is it that there is no reason to whine about killing gaius multiples times while nothing says that he resurects but whining about lightning coming back again is bad ?

SE also said that they'd bring back previous content if there was high demand. And we've had threads for Lighting Return's event to come back almost every day.

For the love of all things sacred. Is the one year anniversary of the game not a special occasion to encore all of the one-time events over the past year? Just let it happen, by the twelve!

Lightning continuing to make a return is a problem.... and I am not talking about this event.

Worst FF character ever. =-/
