When will the next stage of the Zodiac Weapon quest-line be added, and will Alexandrite play a further role?
Please consider making adjustments to the amount of materia players can obtain and is available via the game economy.
Here are the current problems;
- Demand for particular rank IV materia is too high
- Soulbind rates are still too slow with too few places to soulbind outside of instances.
- The RNG with soulbinding makes it very difficult to obtain the materia that you want.
- Overmeld rates are unreasonable when considering current prices and amount of materia available.
- The materia transmute system has little purpose considering junk materia is better used to meld to gear for faster soulbinding.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has a lot of cameo/callbacks to old Final Fantasy characters and bosses with the names and designs of NPCs, dungeons, and enemies. However, I have notice that Final Fantasy XI is hardly represented (other then the playable races and some monsters designs.) I would love it if more bosses, monsters, and NPCs named after, or design after things in Final Fantasy XI. I personally loved the Chains of Promathia storyline, and I think Promathia would make an excellent name for a high ranking Ascain or an extremely powerful entity from the Void.
Will you implement public party areas?
Would it be possible to add random marks in all dungeons (low level as well), roughly a 25% chance to spawn. This would make dungeons more appealing to all, and less monotonous.
Rare crafting items for DoL and DoH could be found or dropped off trash in dungeons too, again making dungeons appealing.
With 2.4 around the corner, can we get more information on Ninja? Like core stats, gear? weapons? I noticed from the last live letter we saw Weapons from 2nd coil and Relic. Will we see weapons from first coil and dungeons as well? As well as gear from older content for glamour?
Can you consider more interesting Gear Options & Stats (e.g., "Enhanced Rampart" "Counterattack +1%") in the future, that allows for *some* Horizontal Progression (same Item Level), without the need to constantly push a New Item Level every few months?
Have you considered holding another player's poll to determine how players feel about content? Currently when talking about content you only seem to mention clear rates or number of people participating in it, but this doesn't take into account players who do content out of obligation rather than enjoyment. While the forums do provide some feedback, it is only a small slice of players. It would be nice to know if the game's current direction is in line with what the people playing it want.
I know we had Dev Reply about this earlier, but for the future:
* Would you consider implementing Cross-Server Friends List and Cross-Server Party Invites (w/ Friends)?
Many of the new MMORPGs have this feature, and Square-Enix had this feature for FF11 (via PlayOnline) (Cross-Server Messaging).
This would really go a long way to enhancing the "Community" aspect of FF14, and create more chances to make new friends or hang out with old friends. :)
Are you planning to make Dark Knight job (Not a tank, but maybe DSP/DD?) for this game? Can Dark Knight use a scythe?
