Is ninja confirmed the only new job?

It makes a lot of sense really. I mean, if you look at the Samurai fighting style, it is at it's very essence incredibly defensive. It's primarily about warding off the opponent's attacks while waiting for that perfect opening, rather than aggressively going for the kill.

If the new race released is a Bangaa (which is my guess after looking at that tail on Yugiri), then Tank = Defender and new Healer = Bishop

Mind you, Bangaa are also known to be Cannoneers (Devs mentioned "gun class but not what we think").

However, since we're going to have a new starter class as the Rogue.....with time to level it before the expansion......the new tank may be a Soldier; which has relied upon the thief subjob in past FF games.

Have they even confirmed that they are adding a new race? All I've heard so far is secondhand rumor and speculation. In any case, I really have doubts that if there is a new race, it's going to be bangaa. A new reptilian race, sure, but not bangaa. I mean, if you look at her body structure, the only physical trait she shares with said race is she has a scaly tail. But based on the Domans studying the eastern arts, and a few other clues, I'd say they are going to stick with the theme. Sam for tank, and something like Priest for the healer. Sam I'm almost sure of due to them actually going through the trouble of naming the city Doma and even basing it's back story in the game after it's namesake in FFVI. And as we know, Bushido was the fighting art of Doma in that game.
