PvP still zero fun

Well, there's your problem right there. Your role as Paladin isn't going to be dish out the most damage you can so you shouldn't be mindlessly burning through your rotation. I'd suggest doing a little research into FFXIV's PvP, particularly into what your purpose as a Paladin is. If you want to put big numbers on the board, you should be a Black Mage or Monk.

I actually like the PVP. I hated PVP in other MMO's(WoW, TERA. Especially Tera. That laggy cesspool. Team losing? Time to go for a swim.) Not seeing names, or even needing actual PVP gear in it makes me like it. Anyone can go in and perform well. It's annoying for a melee, bu still pretty funny chasing a WHM or a SCH and whacking/stunning them. The satisfaction I get when downing a lalafel knows no bounds.

This is your issues:

1. Open PvP, it is just a group of players ganking solo players, it doesnt involves skills.
2. The game is balance around team PvP and there is this triangle rule: Meele > Bard > Casters > Meeles
3. This is your hardware issue. If this is a server side issue, people would be start crying.
4. Waiting time is depending on the popularity of GC, if you are Malestorm, you jsut have to deal with it.
5. Balance is around team PvP, Paladin is not design for damamge output, its role is to control the combat pace by effectively protect your own team's healer. Also, no, Paladin has enough damamge, you just need to do stance dance between shield and sword oath.
6. Everyone starts equal, you wont see geared player taking advantage on non gear players. If you dont like it, you have other choice, but others seem to enjoy this idea.

For WoW, beside the open world, all PvP environments is autobalance on item level as well, it is wild star as wow clone that is doing copy and paste........

What the heck is the point in even doing FL? PVP Gear is useless, we're not graded individually, we're graded by 1st, 2nd or 3rd place as a group and because we're graded as a group PVP gear will be useless even if it was useful. It's a circle, you go around but go nowhere.

No fun at all.

PLD aren't at all useless, favorite class to FL with so far.
Many things that can help, running first and popping tempered will/hallowed to get people to waste their knockbacks, cover/tetsudo is especially nice when they try focusing on one healer/or a healer gets holmganged, tab stunning their backline casters & melee helps negate a lot of the burst, full swings 20% damage taken debuff is nice too when trying to focus down a healer/fleeing players, etc etc.
Damage isn't terrible, just switch out to DPS gear and Sword Oath.

Uh... No?

People are limited to the highest tier of PvP gear, but it doesn't auto balance.

.. In like anything.

The real reason people aren't having fun is because they are going alone.

I have fun because I go with my FC, and with voice chat the hilarity is non stop. In addition , our team is more organized and knows how to focus fire targets.

Our dps distract threats to the healers and such, we use tactics.

You get non of that with random people.

If you are going in alone, you are not doing it right.
