Limit the amount of healers in a party in frontlines

TIL: That people throw their faces against a team with 3 healers, and expect to win when they have 1 or 0.

Healers are not overpowered, multiple healers is not overpowered. People simply havent learned to actually PvP. Many of the people posting here im 95% sure are PvPing for the first time ever, or have only ever casually PvPed in other games.

The only issue with multiple healer parties is this: The uncordinated masses get rolled over by it because they cant focus DPS, they cant pressure. They all choose seperate targets and then get mad when it dosent die, then they take it to the forums and bitch for nerfs.

This games PvP is actually pretty decent, which suprised me because it was a mostly PvE game.

Than is a wild claim, but option out the fact of three instant raises......hehe.

This is a team based game, no one cares if you can't kill a healer solo, main concern is the overstaking becomes a problem.

And guess how fast a freshly raised healer dies when the DPS are actually focused?

The problem is as Sen said, the majority that pug don't listen to chat, don't follow marked targets, and just do whatever they want and expect a win handed to them.

This is the problem. It takes good coordination to over take a heavy healer team. It takes almost zero coordination for a heavy healer team to keep entire team alive. The burden is completely on dps and tanks. Where healing is pretty much a solo endeavor, as long as your good enough, that all that matters.

A single good healer can move mountains, a single good dps cant move a molehill. You need entire team coordination to overtake 2-3 healers. Where you only need a single healer rolling his face on his keyboard to do the opposite.

I think the lack of composition requirements is one of the beauties of frontlines and reduces wait time to get in. I could agree with people who say nerf healing potency a bit for balance, while still allowing people to stack healing roles if that's what they want.

A freshly raised healer can actually survive a bunch of focused dps..as the fact that I was freshly raised once and literally the three other healers kept me alive long enough until they died. Coordination or not, it's not a walk in the park to kill a team of healers, especially when the DPS themselves have other dps hitting them.

I agree that Healers are certainly much more potent for any PvP content than any other job. What Liselsia said is true. Although there are many things that make a Healer such a valuable asset, I feel that AoE heals are what makes them so good. Being able to heal a single player through large amounts of damage is one thing, but being able to do the same thing for 6 others is another - with the same effort or even less. Lustrate is also a major player, as it's effect isn't diminished by anything.

In the past I have come across these imbalances. Pertaining to PvP instances only, some of the best remedies I have ever seen were to:
(A) Increase the MP consumption on certain skills.
(B) Require that certain skills require certain items.
(C) Reduce the duration of the effects of certain skills while strengthening the effect.
(D) Implement debuffs that reduce the amount of healing a target receives from all sources, and or, debuffs that reduce the potency of healing spells cast by target.

This is amusing in retrospect because Disease and Storm's Eye used to be 50% healing debuff each, instead of the current 20% each.

PvP should never ever be balanced around the lowest tier of play- no game should ever be balanced on the lower tier of play. Healers are not overpowered, the ignorant masses are. If you cant pull out the coordination to focus a healer you arent winning the match anyways.

This sheep attitude wrecks games where the Devs are stupid enough to listen to people ranting and raving about balance they know nothing about. I sure hope SE does not do that here.
