Heh, they didn't have any problem with their whole QA staff when they tested it, I bet. But that was probably 7 people at best....

The admins/staff have been very quiet about this and it's really gotten out of hand.
I realize this system needs a huge rework, but some words of "we realize we messed up and we're gonna rework it, here's a temporary solution while we do" would be nice.

It's like they forgot the whole instant teleportation thing. At least in FFXI you had to travel very far and camp a spot.

Pretty much. In FFXI it wasn't just about getting NM, but also "do I really want to go all the way to Windurst?"

No one think that the Original Poster should be Banned by admitting using 3rd Party Software and posting information to encourage people to get it? Clearly this is against ToS, it is bad enough as it already is, but why post this to make it even worst? Just because you see other people use it and SE not doing anything yet doesn't make it ok. I wish they banned all the people using this App.

You should may as well change your post title to "An Open Letter to Yoshia: Please Banned me for using 3rd party software."

OP didn't admit to using third party software. And SE has known about FFXIV-APP for months, yet has done nothing to prevent its use. Are you aware of the concept of "ethical hacking"? When an exploit is found, the ethical hacker will inform the developer of it. If the developer decides to ignore the warnings, there's no other choice than to release this information to the public through whatever channels are possible. This way, things get so out of hand (either from script kiddies running roughshod or people avoiding the software altogether in order to stay safe), the developer has no choice but to take action.

Unfortunately, this is what we've come to now. The floodgates need to open so SE can see what a huge problem there is with cheaters in this game.

My expectations of the hunt system were that it would be somewhat similar to FFXII's marks. I figured the hunt targets would behave like levequest targets, and if a person hadn't selected which hunt they were going after at the board, they wouldn't be able to attack them out in the field.

one of the things that i was must exited about on this patch was hunts but the way it was handled was a little bit disappointing, add the community's entitlement to every Mark, the insults if people pull a A rank alone or a B mark without waiting for the whole server to be there, im going to pass on hunts until SE finds a way to make it lets toxic for the community and more challenging. it sucks cause this is going to put me way behind since the items rewards are good for progression :s.

for me FUN reward > item reward

He post a screen shot of him using it and having a conversation with someone about it, can't get anymore obvious then that. He posted a screenshot from imgur and information that's posted all over Reddit. None of that indicates that the OP themselves is using it. Why would the OP be trying to convince SE to take action against usage of it if they themselves were benefiting from using it?

And yes, at this point the OP should be telling people about it. If SE doesn't care, maybe their customers will. And maybe that will finally wake SE up to the fact that they need to do something about it beyond deleting forum posts and pretending it doesn't exist.
