Ask Questions for Letter from the Producer LIVE Part XVI! (The Future of FFXIV: ARR)

Will we ever see open world content we can do with our FC? Stuff like "Sea", "Sky", "Aby force pop NMs"? Where we can form an alliance of friends and FC members and explore the open world without dungeon timers?
Treasure map hunts are a good start, but I feel we spend most our time teleporting from zone to zone.

Is there anyway we can get a preview button for the personal rooms and housing over all? When you go to place anything it tells you "once placed, that item can no longer be put up for sale" which is fine. But it's hard to see if you will like a piece, or if it will fit where you think it will, by a little icon.

With a preview option we could pull it out, see what it looks like and then when we click to place it the game gives us the warning of it being bound and we can pick yes or no.

Some items are deceiving in their description, like the "tabletop" star globe. I made it to put on my desk, thinking it was small for the table, then it turned out to be almost as tall as my miqo'te but now it's bound to me because I placed it, thinking it was smaller. Thanks~! :D

Yoshida-san, with your proclamation to make a game that everyone can hop in and enjoy, what are your plans to address the issue of LOSS of Community and players *not* being able to help each other out each week (beyond their static party) due to Weekly Timed Lockouts (The Second Coil of Bahamut)?

I was wondering if the personal housing would be instanced like FFXI or if it'd be like the FC housing wards? I would personally like to see it like the FC wards, with the size choices of plots/houses and walk around the ward and greet neighbors.

Are there presently any plans for alternative Job branches to existing branches (for instance a DPS branching from Marauder)? No details necessary - just tell us if it's something you're looking into, or if we should only expect new jobs as completely new classes (ala rogue and ninja)

it's been mentioned in the past that FC could buy multiple plots in the future, is that still in the plans?

To better promote the feeling of a big "Community," can you consider implementing Cross Server Friends Lists and Cross Server Parties (in Instances)?

Final Fantasy XI had Cross Server Messaging (via Play Online), and Guild Wars 2 allows Cross Server Friends Lists and Parties.

Will Jobs ever be able to use other weapons in the future?

For example: WAR using a sword or club or MNK using a staff? I think Jobs could be tied to our job-stone being equipped rather than our weapons.

When will we be getting European Data Center?
