Which Company for Which Class Info

Home city for me. I think they will make it so that you get get weapons no matter what city you are in. so go go Flames! :D

I will probably pledge to gridania because I like the story of the conjurer, elementals, story, etc. associated with that region. Now I can't stand looking at the zone as it is a copy/paste throughout so i'm not really sure. I hope this doesn't impact me in a LS if everyone chooses Uldah company for instance.

I'm guessing most people will probably go for the most popular companies among their servers, as well as having preference for their respective home towns.

I was thinking of going Immortal Flames, since i'm highest on GLA right now, and in the long run they'll give me good gear.

I'm at the same junction right now. I chose to start the game in Gridania because I like the atmosphere there, and the story line. I am playing a Lancer at the moment though; so I'm hesitant to pledge to the twin adders due to the gear offerings. Really hope square steps in and clears this up soon.

Also makes less sense considering gridania is home to the lancer and archer guilds, of which apparently the residing company has no weapons for?

my home is at Uldah, but choosing Grid as my company. Why? whats the point the same similar thing or story when u can play 2 type of it. much more interesting right?

Yep, I kinda miss that too. My home is Gridania and I chose the Twin Adders as well, since I'm a Gridania/Windurstian-Fanboy =P but my current class is Archer at the moment.. and those R50 bows are in Uldah.. feel a little bit shifted since the Archers Guild is in Gridania as well X.x

I could live with a certain exchange ratio maybe. Something along 1:1.5 or maybe even 1:2.
But we'll have to wait until Yoshi's revealing any new infos.

Yoshi-P did recently say that he wants people to choose not by the weapon offered but by the company you like best. He said later achievable titles may yield different weapon types or something to that effect.

I really doubt that they would make such an extreme storyline and gameplay choice become limited by which jobs they favor. At the very least I can see having the ability to get all the weapons in some way or another.

As for me my home city is Gridania and even though I love the story there I am very sick of seeing green. I went with the Maelstrom because I love the seafairing feel. I am a CON so I hope they have weapons available there at some point but I wasn't about to let that make the decision for me.
