Okay.
Now that that's gotten out of the way, do you want to talk about my OP or just leave because this is the same old thread as always?

That's just rebalancing. They do that constantly in mmo's from my experience. They do it if people find unintended synergies and make it overperform, if their metrics show it underperforming, then the pretty much do it every expansion as well when they raise a level cap as they give new abilities typically and they need to typically rebalance. This isn't "taking a look at the class" in how you mean. You seem to mean completely changing things up. What it is is them tweaking some numbers.
As I'm not that familiar with WoW, you'd have to elaborate on your first example.
And please don't make this a matter of "right" or "wrong." Language is flexible, and left open to interpretation to a certain degree.
To "look at" something can have several meanings. It can mean, just as it sounds, to physically look at something, or it can mean to examine something. To what degree, depends on who is doing the looking.
If my car is acting funny, I might take it to the shop to get looked at.
When a developer for a fighting game says they're going to look at one of the characters in the game, that character is going to be rebalanced.
Likewise, in an online game. If a class or job is going to be balanced or adjusted (this encompasses changes to their skills and abilities), the developers are going to look at it.
Do you really want to argue semantics when we're both in agreement that the egis and Tri-disaster are going to get looked at/balanced?
Idk what everyone's beef with Tri-Disaster is. Not all of our abilities need to be amazing. Tri-Disaster is a great utility ability imo, it's a 20 second AoE bind. At most, they add an extra 10 seconds to be on par with BLM sleep. I'd be happy if they remove the damage and add those extra 10 seconds lol
The reason Square is looking at the Summoner now is because players are not playing the Summoner how they envisioned it. To fix this issue remove Tri- Disaster from the Summoner and replace it with contagion from the Garuda Egi.
For the Egis Square Enix intended that the Summoner's would swap each pet in and out instead of using Garuda as their go to pet. To fix Egis without adding abilities give every one a dot that has a unique effect.
Ifit Egi- remove Radiant Shield and replace with eruption which leaves a dot
Titan Egi- increase his defense, hp and threat generation and give him a earth dot
Garuda Egi- remove contagion and replace with friction which leave wind burn dot.
As for the appearance of the Egis make them the size of the tallest Roegadyn Male and resemble the Primals for purely visual purposes.
And there goes any serious discussion we had on making the job better. Someone make a new thread. Now.
Point taken, no use in arguing semantics when the main argument is in agreement.
Tri-Disaster is a disaster of spell. The bind has never been needed except for clutch situation and for when it's actually required, BLM can sleep anyway which is much better since it disabled even ranged mob, which Tri-Disaster doesn't. The damage it inflicts for its steep MP cost is stupidly low and the bind is extremely easy to break.

Even the World Cup is facepalming at that. Please, sources! Not just pure conjecture based on what you hope and think is true. This is not FFXI SMN, which is the gameplay you described.
