I never did anything amazing or note worthy everytime I use my whm. I just did ok. Not good not bad I just what was expected of me. There was only this one time just this one dungeon run. I ran AV with everyone but me as the new person in the dungeon. They heard that av is a horrible dungeon etc etc. on the inside, I'm like ugh I hope we vote abandon but I decided to lead the party. I told them one thing:
"Don't give up on me and I won't give up on you."
Everyone listened and it went out to be the smoothest and fastest av run I ever had. In the end everyone was like, "it wasn't that hard xD" got 3 commendations :D
Soloing Chimera as BRD in Cutters Cry, not once, but twice in a row
(you sometimes really get people with absolutely no plan, and shamed to ask)
Mines nothing special:
I main DPS classes (mainly BRD) but I've been leveling my SMN (at Lv.45) lately. Was cued for Dzemael but DF was taking ages, so I switched to SCH and tried roulette instead, which popped Cutter's Cry. Never healed anything past Haukke Manor and hardly used SCH so I was a bit nervous going in.
Long story short, nobody died, everyone was constantly topped up with health and buffs and I think I did a very good job overall (got all 3 commendations for the 1st time). I actually quite enjoyed SCH and think I'll start using it more often :)
A friend and I were helping our FC-mate (Dragoon) through the Hard Mode trials. I'm the default healer for 4-man instances, but my friend has been playing his White Mage more lately, so we decided to both queue as White Mage, have some fun. Ifrit Hard Mode was a walk in the park, most of Garuda Hard Mode was straightforward too. Until we get to the phase with both Eye of the Storm and Chirada and Suparna.
For some reason, everybody (Garuda, Chirada, and Suparna) are all brought into the exact center of the Eye. My friend and I both throw up Medica IIs, since we can see things getting messy real quick. Then the first Wicked Wheel hits. Tanks are fine, but my friend is brought down to about half health, since he was too close. Thank A-Towa-Cant it's Hard Mode, otherwise that would be it. He's healing, so he gets priority, so I start casting Cure II. Then the second Wicked Wheel hits.
I could have sworn his health hit 0, since all that was going through my mind was how much of a waste that Cure II was, especially since now the tanks aren't in the best shape (also, half the DPS are down now). But no, the Cure II lands, I put on a Presence of Mind, we heal up the party, raise who needs it, and finish the fight. Too bad there was another Dragoon (with his lvl 110 weapon) who took the drop from our friend -_-
I know it's not a hard fight anymore (hell, I've solo healed the thing plenty of times), but it's nice whenever you can save a fight like that, especially with two or three new players.
I main SCH and am more used to that style of healing than WHM's so I was really nervous when I capped my WHM yesterday and was getting into the primal trials for my Thyrus relic.
I did not know whether I would do very well or not as I had not really healed much in endgame as a WHM yet, and I did not want to be a burden on the parties I ended up in. Yesterday I got to the Ifrit HM fight before I logged off for the night (doing the other two today.), and it really boosted my confidence in my healing as a WHM.
Somewhat nearing the end of the fight, all of the dps went down (except maybe one I dont remember exactly.) I swiftcast raise one of them...and then the other healer goes down. It was just me, the two tanks and one dps, and the dps went down again fairly quickly unfortunately. As I had used my swiftcast just before the other healer went down it was still on cooldown. But then my chance came as the eruptions were coming. The tank stunned the eruptions and as soon as he did I popped PoM and hard-raised the other healer, who then proceeded to raise the others as I kept the tank up. I couldn't help but smile when I saw a few great job messages directed at me and 5 commendations when I left.
The venue is Ifrit Extreme. It was my first time healing the fight, and I went in as SCH. We had already failed twice in the fight, so we were at a healthy 10% echo.
We fight to the third set of nails. There had been a couple of deaths previously, so the MP of both myself and the WHM was hurting. One of the tanks goes down because of overzealous nail killing. I raise him. Two DPS go down when the big nail is blitzed. Hellfire kills all but myself, the 2 tanks, 1 DPS, and the WHM. The plumes kill the WHM.
At this point, I have about 600 MP, but Aetherflow is about to pop. Since Searing Wind is on me and me alone, I can't risk running into the center of the arena; the only area where I can raise the WHM and still be in range of the tanks. It would kill the DPS. Going around the bottom of the arena would save the DPS but I'd go out of range of the tanks and then it's game over. So, I pop Aetherflow and raise one of the DPS. We're almost there and the Tanks haven't died. That DPS dies immediately. I'm now stuck without swiftcast and have 1000 MP, so I just go ham on healing those tanks and hope to all that is holy that the DPS doesn't get killed.
In the end, none of them died and we managed to win the fight. It was probably moments before the enrage too. People were happy.
I main WHM, but I also level up SMN these days. In Stone Vigil SM, WHM falls so i SC+Res him and i take over healing duties till he is in full HP. I was proud because I acted fast and didn't freak out as I usually do and definitely saved us from a wipe :p
It's not my own great healing job done, but Scholar from our FC had a rough ride in Levi Ex.
We got Levi down to 35% I guess (might be more or less) and our second healer dropped down from platform. Normally that's a wipe with healer getting debuff in this fight, but our great SCH managed to keep everybody up and we finished the fight.
At the end she had I believe 15 stacks of debuff (if I remember correctly 16 or 18 makes you immobilized, so its game over).
She threw heals in between of waves and stuff as people made a mistake or two, but nobody died.
Considering how tough this fight was from healing point of view, she did heck of a job! :)
Last night in Duty Roulette for the first time since the hunts started. Decided to get some quick and easy tomes of myth. Dragoon dies 5 times! Doesn't know how to get out of AOE's. I quick cast/raised every time. Get to Chimera on after his 2nd demise and I'll be danged if he doesn't die by not getting away during eyes of blue. His HP and armor must have been low. I QC/R and he gets killed next by not getting away from the blue orb. QC/R and he's killed by eyes of blue again! I didn't leave him on purpose, but now the fight is intense. We lose the bard to a combo of the orb and violet eyes. I QC/R the bard and we are about to smote Chimera. I do a QC/R before it does so the dragoon gets full credit. I got 3 commendations. :D Only need 156 for the gold Magitech armor! :D Woo hoo!
