Improvement of myself or improvement and advancement of my guild. These are the main focus of endgame in mmos.
Doing this content will actually hinder advancement due to negligible rewards and large amount of time wasted completing the content.

I can't speak for everyone, but as a hardcore raider, this is what I've been asking for: a "vanity" item. I don't care that the gear is the same as "normal" version. Make it harder, and give us something "prestigious" and I'm happy. That's why in several other threads, I don't care that 110 gear comes from outside coil. So long as there is one item (the weapon) that gives a reason to do it, I'm happy. Having a "brutal" version that rewards a title is just icing on the cake to me.
Considering this is the first attempt they are making at progression beyond simple gear (stat stick) upgrades, I would tend to encourage their efforts.
A title is a fantastic way to gauge interest in alternative rewards. I would also not oppose vanity gear that can be used to prism over gear to give a unique look.
I fully support rewarding those that do extra content (and extra difficulty) being rewarded. This game has been very 1 dimensional in rewards. If this is a place that progress can be made in that regard, then I am all too happy to reward those leet players with something new and different. I believe diversification of rewards will lead to a better game for everyone.
I would be sad if they added a mount or minion I was unable to get in brutal mode.
They should at least make the hard mode drop additional sands and oils to make it worth doing more than one time for the title and never again.
You add other rewards to brutal and people will start complaining how hard and unfair it is that they will never get the rewards and start whining for nerfs. I'm glad they are doing this even though I will never be able to do it. It's great for people that want a challenge.
Wow the genre has changed 100% from what it use to be, where now vanity and mounts > progression.
When people think a title is a worthwhile reward for hardwork. Guess I am showing my age. SE should be adding options for variety in content, meaningful stuff to do. Why not have the coils 1-5 brutal mode drop Ilvl110 stuff. Give us more to do during the week instead of the current ungodly state of lack of content they seem to be keeping us in.
The problem with rewards is the whole ridiculous notion that everyone must have access to everything. Was one of the great things of mmos of the past the devs did not care if a part of the playerbase couldn't do something because of thier lives or skill level.
Either way I will do what some have said. I will not partake in the content, it is just meaningless and boarding insanity to do it in my eyes. I cannot see many people doing this content at all though, hardcore/midcore/or casual.
Sadly, unless there's something in the mechanics of these fights to prevent it, the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the announcement of Brutal Modes with special title rewards was... "Oh goody, one more thing for power guilds to sell to the masses along with EX's and Coil Turns".
Be curious to see just how fast the first shout for it goes up in Mor Dhona.
