Yeah I agree. Most of the content can be done maybe with a few wipes with competent players, but if you're unlucky and get one brain dead player it's GG.
I did guildhest roulette yesterday and got gil turtle. The party ended up killing the turtle (I was WHM) because none of them read what to do or listened to me saying pull back to herb etc. It was the biggest fail ever.
To OP I suggest finding at least three players you get on well with and forming a static/partial static. You can complete content way easier if you know how the group works together from past experience.
