I don't mind it being a bit grindy, but the whole RNG aspect of it is just way too painful, especially for the casual player. A couple of hours of atma farming for a "chance" is no fun at all. I think at the very least a set goal it would have been better, do so and so amount Fates, even if it was a large amount needed to be done at least it would feel like progress. Sure they have other weapons out there to be able to obtain, but im in a low pop server, hard to get a static group together and a regular group for like Leviathan XM can take 1-3 hours to put together...so ya...not enjoying it much lately. :/
900 myth sounds reasonable. Having to do Bray HM For 3 hours (6 mins max each run plus repairing plus the loading time) to get all the 1500 myth is a mission I'm not prepare to do again. And that is not "hard work" totally unnecessary specially for a weapon that is at the same level as Levi exchange. Animus should be at least ilvl 105
Don't get me wrong I truly enjoy doing book missions as in the killing needed mobs doing leves and chosen dungeons BUT this 4 hour waiting for Fate to pop up and on top of that need to grind 1500 for hours kinda takes the fun away in some respect.
8HRS OF FATES for me and no stat boost? That isnt acceptable. I will be glade if they increase drop rate.
Maybe have it where the price on the books are lowered, or in a sense, you "still" spend 1500 myths on your weapon, only it's divided up. A portion would be used to get an item that allows you a temporary increase of luck obtaining Atma.
As for the actual statistics for it, I can't be certain how it'd work. But lets say on average, it takes a week to get 1 Atma. This boost cuts it in half, but for a limited time, like a couple days. People have lives outside the game, be it work or school, gotta keep it fair.
And to make it interesting, make it carry an expiration, so after a day or two, its unusable, so you would have to get a new one. But to avoid people stacking on them, put a delay on it, give it a 24 hour limit after it expires.
I'm sure this particular idea may have kinks in need of working out, but it's a start, right? At least it'd give somewhat of a new twist to the idea of Atma hunting, and may even make it enjoyable like it should have been to begin with.
