I tried a /shout prayer to RNGeesus and then sacrifice the most fluffy mob I can find on the map. It actually worked twice where I got the drop on the next fate, but most of the people in the zone clowned me pretty hard.
They can all look at my atma weapon now :)

There is no ritual. It is a number that you have to roll after the FATE that decides if you get the atma or not. It can be the first FATE or the 1000 FATE.

I listen to dubstep. Because then I hope when the bass drops, the atma drops as well.

My ritual is more out of game than in game. Throw on some music or a video in the background, grab a drink and maybe a bite to eat, and hunker down in the zone until one drops. Take a break between zones so you don't burn out, but if you power through a single zone until its Atma drops with something else to keep your mind active, you won't notice the passage of time so severely.

Down+B+Start. Do it again on the second pokeball wobble if it's a shiny.
Oh, wait, we're talking about getting Atmas? Uh, I only spend about 2 hours per day grinding, and I always listen to the OCRemix FF6 album, "Balance and Ruin". I'm now convinced that Shadow was actually a Cowboy cosplaying as a Ninja. X3

For boss fates I always try to get the killing blow. Also working on another fate while the previous one ended.

I gave up after 5 hours since I don't play as hardcore no more. Praying they will debunk the random drop rate in the future at some point. In the mean time I am focusing on Weathered.
-
Already completed mine, but I watched TV shows on my computer while grinding. :p

I try to not do the same zone location back to back, ie Not Thanalan, then another thanalan location. More like Thanalan, La noscea, shroud etc etc
