She's not wrong, though. Looking at this thread, it seems almost exactly as time consuming and difficult as it is to get full endgame gear as a Disciple of War or Magic.

Just dropping in to say that I totally and wholeheartedly agree with your entire post. This patch was a major disappointment and everything that was added seems to require such a ridiculous grind that I find myself also saying "Why bother?" I never thought I'd feel this way about this game but if this is what the future looks like I doubt I'll be sticking around. I play for fun, not to grind away like it's another job.

I agree with this, but getting all crafts to max level is extremely easy. You can easily get a lvl 50 craft in two days if you have all your leve's. But I think you missed the point. We are talking about how insanely difficult it is to get the master books. There is no reason why this should be so difficult. However getting the items required to make a master book recipe should be difficult.

I feel the master books should have been obtained through some quests or even given to us. Who really cares if you have the recipe? It's all about getting the mats to make that recipe, that should be the items you are left to grind out or hope the RNG gods are kind.

And to think I logged on today saying "Hm lets see what the forum is whining about today." you did not disappoint me.

Holy cow is this thread serious? Are you seriously whining because you have to work for something? The moment you looked at how "tough" something was it appears you moved on and just gave up on it. This game isn't going to be handed to you on a silver platter. No MMO does this. What do people honestly expect?

Patch 2.0 : "Grind for Penta-Melds is too much!!!"
Patch 2.1 : "Grind for Housing costs is too much!!!"
Patch 2.2 : "Grind for Relic/Master Recipes is too much!!!"

Taking bets for 2.3!

And you can still do that. It just takes time and dedication to each one individually to max out its crafting capacity.
Just like it takes a good chunk of time and dedication to a single Job to max out its combat potential. (Rotations , Gear, learning fights etc)

I guess since they can only manage to make like one or two vanity items per patch they have to make them be the special rewards for the most elite players.
