It feels kinda bad seeing people having experiences like this. I'm exactly like you, OP. I can enjoy endgame, but at my own pace. The whole game at my own pace. I hit lvl 50 with a crafter class before I did with fighter, it took a long while, and guess what; I enjoyed it! And seeing as many FCs are too hardcore in their attitude for my taste, I simply made my own. When I do recruitment shouts, I specify that we are a smaller, social FC, and so far not a single one of the people who joined has been elitist or pushy.
My point is, there are plenty of people out there like you. If you design your recruitment shouts/posts well, you will attract that specific group of players. It has worked very well for us, and it still does. We even had some members who left their old FC to join ours.
I believe the majority of FCs you'll find recruiting on the internet, setting up their own large websites with applications etc. etc. etc. will not be what you're looking for. So in the end, my best advice is to make your own. That way you have control, to make the FC you'd like to be in.
Good luck!
(And also, we're on Moogle server, psst psst! ;) )

My FC helps people no matter what level they're. Just last week I dropped what I was doing to help a lv 15 find an npc. Most of our members are either friends from SW:TOR, friends of friends, wives, husbands or people who we've met on FF14 and played with before recruiting though. It's better to have a smaller sized FC(100 or lower) imo so that everyone gets to know each other, that way no one feels left out.
There are all different kinds of FCs out there. Probably lots that suit you. You just have to take the time to look.

People do not exist to make you feel better

Why don't you make your own FC then and lead by example?
Instead of always relying on others and complaining when they don't meet your standards.

I see complaints about this type of thing on the forums a lot. The OP is saying he doesn't feel valued and his contributions ignored in his FC. To me this boils down to one thing: how do you make people feel like a part of the group?
Let me give an example. A long time ago in another game I was part of a really great guild. It was probably the best guild I've ever been in, and it wasn't because they were good at endgame. In fact they were pretty bad at raiding and at PVP too. However, the guild leader had an amazing ability to make ever single member feel like they were a part of the group. For example, any time anyone logged into the game, no matter who they were, they got a greeting from this guy. A "Hi [insert name]" and a "how are you doing / what are you up to" type of follow up conversation. I was with them for maybe 4 years and he never stopped doing it, it was almost uncanny. It was impossible for anyone to log in unnoticed.
I bring this up because, while it seems super simple, just acknowledging a persons existence in a FC can make a huge difference in their happiness there. Most people only talk to their friends, so those who go out of their way to include others really have the advantage in retaining players like the OP. Good luck!

People worked for their own stuff. Why should they also work for yours?
It's fine if you want to relax and you can can do that but don't blame other people for not holding your hand and carrying you everywhere.
just read your own OP, you want people to level a tank/healer just to help you? How self centered can you be?

I have to say that FFXIV is a anti social game in fact they could easily make it instanced for all the social there is in it. I was in an FC but I had decided I wanted to get all the DoH/DoL classes finished first because they would then make it easier to do my DoM/DoW classes because I could utilise my crafting/mending/melding etc skills. Every day I would have to go through the same routine of explaining my playstyle to people who played differently and then be treated like I was second class because I didn't follow their route.
I remember back when I owned my own guild many moons and games ago and a member logged in and would be greeted by multiple hey, hi, how's you etc from members. I finally decided to create my own FC and use it to help with my crafting etc because it meant the other 7 chars on my account could use the FC Bank and become storage. I have all DoH/DoL to lvl 50 and I want to work more on my DoW/DoM classes. HOWEVER I find again I'm in a bad place because people who don't bother doing crafting etc think that I should stop what I'm doing and do stuff for them because I have the skills. It doesn't work both ways though because the people who want to use my skills think themselves too elite to take a noob through dungeons etc.
Once again Im FCless and I think now I will join a NEW guild and grow with it so that the elitest attitude isnt there.

I'm kinda surprised hearing someone suggest that there are people doing FCs and not sharing the company chest with everyone in the company. Seems kinda odd to act like you're wanting to work together with people and then not share with everyone.

Sounds like you joined an Endgame Free Company, even though you have no intent to get there in a hurry.
