Yes, the ideal thing for an OT war to do is Path - Eye - BB (repeat). However, it is a lot easier to just ask someone to do Path and Eye so they can get used to OTing, and should they have to OT with a lesser-geared MT (lots of PLD refuse to OT even when they're horribly undergeared) being used to the two combo rotation is better when you're new.
When someone is OTing and ONLY does BB, and then starts to harass and insult you for asking them to debuff the boss...they are almost certainly trolling and deserve to be kicked.

You should never be using knockback skills in a party, so I probably would have wanted to kick you too.

As much as I hate it when WHMs use Fluid Aura on stuff I'm tanking, the skills are part of the game and absolutely nowhere does it tell you that they're never to be used in a party. Kicking for this would probably get you a suspension if it were reported.

Now, if you politely asked the person to please not do that because it's annoying as shit and they said "screw you" and started using it every time it was off cooldown just to troll the group, then yeah, you'd definitely have a stronger case for a kick.

That's probably what led to the kick. Believe it or not, people who get kicked tend not to be innocent polite angels.

I use fluid aura so my tank has to move less. Say if something pulls on me, I generally stand about in the range I can just fluid aura it back into tank range and he can pick it up without moving around too much, if at all. I also use it to push ranged mobs into the pile of stuff being tanked. But my tank is usually my friend and he knows not to chase down that one mob that aggros on me because it will get pushed to him as soon as it's in my range. And he also gets initial aggro on a ranged mob so I can go push it to him and away from the wall. I'd certainly count conjurers and arcanists who constantly push mobs out of melee range as harassing though.

Your post just made me think of this, I wasn't disagreeing with your decision to votekick nor defending the tank's actions.

i have kicked, but i cannot recall ever kicking someone for something other than long afk's or just being a jerk in general.

But let's suppose someone is asked not to use an ability and they use it anyway, are they the one trolling? A case could be made the other way too, you know (depending on the situation and the ability, and the tone of the person "asking" the other not to use an ability). What if the person using the ability politely said, "I'm using X ability for Y reason and I don't agree with you"? Is the person a troll for wanting to have input into the party's strategy? Or is the person who's demanding the other person do or not do X, and forcing them to adopt their strategy, a troll?

Or is it possible that the word "troll" has completely gotten out of hand and that sometimes there are 2 players with equally valid points of view? I agree that they might not have the best play experience in the same party together and they might both have a better time if one were to leave, votekick, or get votekicked. However, disagreeing is not AFKing, going offline, or harassment, which is votekick's intended use.

Also, and it may sound radical, but both players might become better players and better PEOPLE if they find a way to work together or compromise rather than just surround themselves with yes-people. Votekick is a luxury you won't have in most real world interactions :)

Knockback interrupts an enemy skill, plus Fluid Aura binds a target (for example, the Jelly boss in WP). So never say never :)

And I'll just reiterate that not liking how someone plays their character is not grounds for a vote kick. Vote kick should only ever be used if players AFK, go offline, or harass others. If you disagree, ask SE and see what they say.

You have options if you don't like the party you're in (even if it's just because of one player). YOU can leave.

That seems to be your mentality since you think every party that kicks someone is abusing the system.
