edit: Actually, now that I think about it, it's this kind of thinking that is causes the worst out of this community. People feel entitled to say how things should be done (use parser, get the best out of you, otherwise you are not having fun vs. get a life, play this video-game just for fun, this is not a hard-core game). And I say no to this. Find like-minded people with who you can enjoy the game the way you have most fun. Don't try to convince others that the way you do it is the best way to entertain themselves.

It can't be detected anyway, so anyone using them can avoid ever being detected by simply not admitting to it.

So yeah, it's not being made any closer by these posts.

As for the OP, I don't agree you should be attacked for low numbers, but you are saying it should be banned because of your single experience, which is ridiculous.

THIS. I ran numbers last night because two monks in our FC Alliance wanted to epeen each other. So we did Ultima HM. They died...ALOT...so I turned it off. People don't seem to realize that you can't do any damage if you're dead. So for people who like to stand in aoe pools or not avoid targeted skill shots by bosses just to up their damage, I get frustrated. You're wasting my time and the time of others in the run with you.

Yes it can. developers just don't want to devote manpower to it. It's laughably easy to destory parser club, if not somewhat more harder. All they have to do is set up a banned program running thread, like 90% of the f2p mmo's out there.

Sure the parsing developers can defeat it, but can they defeat it every week? It would be the windower all over again. With the developer rage-quiting and put it off, abandon, and passing the hot potato.

They can't win lol, home brew apps would just keep adapting to any changes as they lose more and more money.

No need for a screenshot, SE has every chat log stored on the server, they just need to search for a player, location time etc, and that will evidence what has been said in game.

Only way they could stop it is if they prevented players from accessing the combat logs. Which wouldn't make sense at all since there is a combat tab in the chat window for us to view.

I don't play in PuG groups anyway, so you won't find me harassing anyone...

Either way, if what somebody on a video game says seriously bothers you, I would cringe at how you would handle an actual insult from your boss or loved ones in real life.
