100000000000000000 x this. PS3 limitations be damned, having a quest log where we can't choose what quests to follow, or re-display quests on the tracker that have fallen off is utterly ridiculous. Only way to get them done is to keep journal open, select map to see it and keep going back to check the quest requirments.

Although FATEs are the new NMs, I'd like to see them drop special items or crafting mats (% drop based on participation level) instead of just GC seals and exp.

Also, do all FATEs need to show up on the map along with an obvious idiot-proof alert?

Why not make more use of other, more subtle tells like weather (Odin) and players can go searching for the mob. I think that would be fun.


I guess what I'm really saying is that we need many, many more fates like Behemor and Odin

A racing has to be made as time trial, the delay we already have would make think people had won but actually hadn't. The position checks are far too wide spread to make it reliable.
(LotrO devs said this years ago and their position checks are far superior then what we have here.)

8) DL+AF2 Storeable, refundable, convertable or anything that doesnt mean tossing
9) Being able to send stuff to your alts
10) Being able to alter in which slots your LSs are.
11) General JP input ingame without pain

Items like the Kraken club would be fun. But the club wasn't something hard to get per se. But RMT would be all over these items and have a monopoly, ruining it for everyone. We would just see a crap load of bots teleporting on top of the NM for claim.... Yeah No thanks on that.

#1, #2, and #3 are all coming.

More things I would like from FFXI to be in FFXIV ARR:

*Equip capes for unique stats (do not have to be visable)
*Relic weapons having unique stats and giving you special skills that only these weapons can perform
*Moon phases
*BCNMS
*Pop HNMS
*furniture that gives you a bonus by using the FFXI version of Feng Shui
*Beastmen Gods/Kings
*Exp parties
*A form of signet
*fame in towns and cities, not just for the beastmen
*beastmen attacking towns
*adventuring fellows (just like companions but they are humanoid npcs that talk back to you and have different personalities, you can leveling them and do quests that unlock jobs and skills for them.)
*More open world content, dungeons, explorable areas, etc.
*Bazaars and Bazaar comments


Things from FFXIV 1.0-1.23 that I want in FFXIV ARR:

* hat and eyewear in separate slots
*belts are viewable on our character
*higher resolution textures
*areas larger than how they are now
*explorable areas
*being able to wear two different earrings
*being able to wear two different wrists
*underwear top and bottom slots
*having a sub weapon that you can throw (like in FFXIV 1.0 my character could throw axes if I put them in my sub weapon slot)

Open dungeons in FFXI, we used to cast sneak and invisible on the pt and try to pass certain area to do something.
Yes, it'll take long long time, but it adds excitement. :)
It'll be nice if there are high ilvl quests like that.
Wel, hopefully, they have that in mind when planning expansion. :)

RMT would never be a factor if the Kraken Club-type item was:

1) U/U
2) Obtained from a FATE battle where 'Gold rank' would get you a ~1.5% drop rate, 'Silver rank' would get you a ~0.3% chance, and Bronze gets you ~0.1%

Just make the FATE battle have pop pattern similar to Odin (ie, across multiple zones and in a large window)... but it shouldn't show up on the maps like normal FATES until the mob is engaged.

This idea captures the best features of both the FATE system and the NM/HNM system. Furthermore, it is a great way to introduce ultra-rare prestige weapons and gear to the game.
