Why no one tanks...

You don't see many tanks because most tanks are like me and only tank for their FC or in their static LS's.

The only other reason you see a lack of tanks is because being a tank is more stressful of a role. Any minor slip and the party will wipe. You have to be on your game 100% or you won't get anywhere. The average player does not want to have that.

Actually the DD will learn to play better so you achieve something by teaching them what's right and what's wrong.

i do not disagree with your statement about the other classes being bad , but letting teammates die on purpose is worse imo than being a noob and not knowing what to do

I'll disagree with you here. They need to learn what they did wrong, but just letting them die stirs even more anti-tank sentiment among the masses. Besides, keeping one dps dead slows down the dungeon or could cause the healer to choose the wrong moment to raise said dps that could potentially lead a group wipe.

But that is wrong. Like, entirely wrong. No 'minor slip' will wipe your party, unless your minor slip is like, backstepping off the edge during titan.

Forgetting to take aggro isn't a 'minor slip', its neglecting to do your entire job. Pulling the wrong mob is a 'minor slip' and the only way that would wipe the group is if that mob was linked to a ton of crap your group couldn't handle, so its a wipe with conditional checks.

Name one 'minor slip' that will wipe a party, because I'd love to know what you think a minor slip is.

Gotta learn the hard way. If they are in higher level dungeons and still doing it, then there's an issue.

Not hitting Flash after provoking the Spiny, which ends up heading back to the OT due to ability enmity and wipes the raid. Or not DPSing down the spiny once it comes, resulting in the raid not getting into the bubble quickly enough. Or hell, go back to Garuda and Ifrit HM. All the little stun mistakes and positioning mistakes you could make which would end the business. Hells, unless you're doing Titan, you're constantly dealing with mechanics that can wipe a raid.

A minor slip to me is when picking up the mobs as they drop in Turn 4, and the mobs position didn't update in time with your ability activation and was outside the overpower/flash radius. That 2.5 seconds you're GCD locked is enough time for it to potentially either kill or damage a healer. It's happened once or twice in the last few months, so it's just incredibly minor to me but it can potentially lead to a wipe.

I don't know if that is really a minor slip. You screwed up your one job, that's a pretty big slip. But OK, I'll accept that. I don't really think it could be classed as a minor slip though.

As for Garuda/Ifrit HM, positioning is something people can adapt to. Unless you're majorly screwing it up it is almost never irreversible.

I get your angle though, and its reasonable but I don't really see any mistakes that could wipe a raid as being 'minor'. It's a pretty big screw-up if everyone is dead and it is specifically your fault.

More reasonable than the other one. That's not really something you can fault yourself with though, is it? Unless I'm misunderstanding, it seems like a server issue.

If you were actually outside of flash range, and it wasn't something caused by a delay you can't very well control, then it'd be a pretty minor screw-up that could cause a wipe. But if its just a server delay thing I kind of put that one on SE.

I mean, I've also seen the AI go insane, and sometimes it'll not aggro properly, because something caught its attention, so it'll target you, but then run over to another player and smack them. AI issues and built-in delays aren't really something players can control.
