Just so you guys know, the Heavy effect is a % chance from taking any damage from behind the mount, which is almost always if you are zipping trough.

Even in 1.0 it got the heavy debuff
From 1.19 patch note:
But I find it sad that this one seems not to be ingame anymore:Quote:
If attacked from behind while on chocoback, there is a chance that the blow will cause a player's chocobo to lose speed.
The problem is that there are no enemies higher than 49 in the strongholds. In 1.19 they were 50-57.Quote:
If a chocobo takes too much damage, he will buck his rider and escape back to his stables.
Yoshida should at least put in some level 53 in the strongholds. They are strongholds after all, not some beastmen camps.
It's not even the player's chocobo that's losing speed because you still move slowly after dismounting.
Actually this is still in the game, it just requires you to be like 20 levels below the mob's level...Quote:

I wish they would change it to where it's like a charm effect. If you're on a mount and it takes damage it could be spooked, so how about instead of just 'Heavy' u lose the ability to control what direction your chocobo travels and you cannot dismount because the chocobo is erratic and it would be 'too dangerous to dismount'. Unless you take so much damage that the chocobo bucks you off.
OMG yes! Not only is this ability pointless, it's absolutely irritating! It wouldn't be so bad, but 20 F'N seconds??? Really? Why the heck would they add movement control effects by mobs on the field? And especially 20 seconds. Not to mention, most classes have to cleanse for it. >.< It's like SE wants us to stop playing.
You shouldn't be able to "travel through" beastmen lolstrongholds in the first place.
Heavy are make for be annoying because there are no diminished return.
I HATE the Sylphlands!
