Monster Hunter is irrelevant. There is also an English version of the game that caters to English speaking players all around the globe. For FFXIV, if you were in Australia, you get better pings playing on the Japanese datacentres, than the American ones.

Yes juniglee i get that but did the op ever say there from Australia? that's why i was asking them why there in JPN but if they are indeed from Australia then i missed that :P my bad btw there are ver of monster hunter that are only JPN MHFO for ps3 / xbox to name a few why i was talking about MH i played the JPN ver of MHFO on the xbox and was pointing out how a lot of the players are

Hi, thanks for your reply. I am from Singapore, in Asia. I am GMT +8, thus for latency and prime time, best is a Japanese/Asian server.

As for what you say about Japanese HardCoreness. Yea I find it is really truth. Got pros and cons. And the cons can be really brutal.

In all fairness, before I started doing extreme, I did not find the issue so glaring. It is really when I started extreme that all these issues mentioned have been pushed to the foreground for me.

In a way, extreme is enlightening me to the many small issues here and there with FF14. I am at Ifrit X now. Just need to clear it, then can forgot about extremes. :D.

Also concerning FC, I already have a FC, lets just say, hard to get a FC group to help. But in all fairness they sometimes do, which is how I passed Titan. Just needed 1 plus month :D

Ah yes, MHFO. But that was only IP restricted to Japan I believe. Unless you were using a Japanese proxy, chances are you wouldn't meet a single English player in there anyway.

I know for a fact that I am from Australia, and so I have to play on Tonberry (which is identical to Masamune, except not being a legacy server, and not in the same data centre as Masamune). It is highly likely the OP is from Australia, or is an American/British/Australian living somewhere in Asia. I know for a fact I have a Portuguese FC mate who lives in Macau, so I don't think I'd expect him to be playing on one of the EU servers.

Sometimes, us people don't have a choice in which servers we have to play. The netcode in this game is bad, and one major hurdle for latency is always Titan. We do what we can to reduce our pings. I know people from Singapore, whose closest data centre is also a Japanese one, having to use 3rd party apps like WTFast and PingZapper to reduce their pings.

Singapore aw very good i have many friends from there and i feel your pain as playing in JPN is best for you but with how they act at times :P good luck^^

Also, way to project your issues on others. To imply I was attacking you? Entirely false. I am, however, trying to avoid false characterizations of the state of the larger populace.

If a spanish-speaking player plays on a Japanese data center, sure, they would run into similar situations. That is not SE's fault, that is the player's choice to remain on a server incompatible to their greater wants and needs.

You complain that JP players dislike you due to your choice of language, and so you prefer to select English and not JP, inferring that you dislike using the JP filter.

Way to make a mountain out of a molehill.

It was your choice to segregate yourself like that, so you need to make a decision on if and how you will fix it.

Where do I infer. I am straight out saying that 9 out of 10 PF parties are JP Only. They will not let me join, when I whisper them to ask for permission. I use google translate and FFXIVapp when I work with Japanese parties, but that is not enough for some and I get kicked. It is also a known fact, that Japanese leave parties after 3 tries or so. That is a fact I experience in Masamune.

I am saying the using ENG only has long wait time. Does that mean I do that often. Of cause not, I want fast parties so I select all languages.

Also nowhere say that I do not want to do with Japanese parties. Yes I say I dislike the Japanese that insist to only play with other Japanese or make JP Only parties. Does that mean I dislike them? Or when DF, they open Party list and find I am not Japanese and say things like Gaijin or worst kick me out?

Of cause, yes I dislike when they do it. Do I dislike them personally for it? No. I dislike the fact that FF14 community in such servers seem to be segregating more and more. And that SE makes it so easy for them to do it, AFK Vote kick anyone?

Why? Because I want to play in these parties. Not because I dislike them. If everyone just plays with everyone else and does not quit after a few tries, nor try to join "in progress" queues and actually make effort to talk, then there will be less issues. But that is not the case.

So if what I have said, made you think I dislike Japanese, I am sorry. But you also have blown the topic out of proportions.

What I dislike and want changes is the system process and procedure in place now that makes it easy for ANYONE to do such things. After 4 dps, 2 tanks and 2 healers wait for so long to do a duty, I think it is harmful and just bad practice to allow a single person to just leave and spoil the whole experience. Neither do I think it is right for 7 other people to kick you, just because they do not like something about you, when you did nothing to deserve it.

Your issue is not SE's issue, it is a personal problem you have the ability to resolve in a number of ways.

So your issue is with a preformed party being unable to rep when someone leaves? Sure, I can get behind wanting to fix that.

We seem to be cross talking. I do not have an aversion to selecting JP in filter. I dislike what patch 2.1 has done. In which made it easier for parties to kick people out. And for making my server suddenly a way smaller place (datacenter segregation) in which a minority of the majority are using tools made to help out, to in fact partition out the community.

I feel, as mentioned before, that SE should make it harder for people to do so. And move some servers around so that such behavior is less apparent.

I know it will always be a problem, but SE should be making it harder for people to do so, not easier which they have done in patch 2.1.
