lol TESO had a beta that was garbage? Um.... Did you try FFXIV beta by chance? Or even the first month FFXIV was actually live? Or for that matter the latency issues that still plagues this game now by chance? Also do the "loyal" players that are currently subbed get 2 days added to our sub time? Or is it just screw us since they already have our money?
Most modern day subscriptions mmos will after a few months have a weekend of free play or free to play games do offer free stuff to in same time frame.. So those that are left or If they would like try it again can try it again and see if it is better. smart business. Not everyone is on forums or what not and helps friends pass word of mouth for those that enjoy the game , those that do not like it, well they get to try it again and maybe like it.
You have absolutely no data on who left, how many people left, what kind of gamer they were, how often they played, or to be honest anything at all about the people who left. All you know is that some people have left. You don't even really have anything more than anecdotal evidence bolstered by the fact MMOs always shed some players shortly after launch.
This is obviously about getting people to look at the changes 2.1 made and, as someone else pointed out, to challenge the ESO beta.
Fixed by putting into perspective.
Very smart move by SE doing this. For obvious reasons with ESO beta weekend.
oh btw:
We wanted a kick, we got a kick.
we wanted a sort button, we got a sort button.
we wanted a hairdresser etc.
So no, they don't listen:P And if you mean they didnt add 1000s new quests, hundreds more overworld encounters. 10s of new dungeons. Then you need a reality check.
I'm sure people coming back that quit before reaching endgame will have enough time to get to 50 and get the cross class skills and gear to challenge the new content especially Extremes, all that while waiting for the Crystal Tower FATEs even with their fixed timers or doing the new storyline to unlock Moogle. If that fails then I'm sure they will also have plenty of time to experience casual friendly content such a housi-oh
They should also offer an off-schedule dungeon/loot reset for the weekend- give current players a bone. Have the regular reset again on Monday.
Why not? That would be a treat for everyone and increase overall playing during the target time period.
I read stuff somewhere, it must be true.
This is a good business decision by SE and they should do it after every patch.
