So Vanity Weapon Slots.

There will be vanity slots, but you can only use them with specially designated gears every other Tuesday in March at a cost of 160000% of your total accumulated wealth and firstborn child or pet.

Lol jk but not.

Would not surprise me if it cost gil to open up vanity slots. A million here a million there for each slot, and it's x10 on legacy servers.

Well guess we wait and see what They do with Vanity then.

Still it would be a kind of a waste since Event gears, such as Lightning event gears and the Holiday event gears, are made for vanity use. Having to destroy them just to use them for a gear you won't be using for long once a new higher ilvl gear is released removes the value of getting the vanity gear from the event.

If I was the designers, I would be like screw yall! hahaha

Its almost like someone cooking all day then everyone decides they rather go to Mcdonalds. I don't really care for it, I can't believe I'm saying that being I love shiny and cool looking gear more then anyone. I just think a gear should look the way it was made and if your gear look awesome at the time your using it then your just lucky, if you can use or get away with a lower level gear that looks better then your just fortunate. But I will be happy for everyone when they do finally put vanity slots in and i'd probably be the first one to use it all that being said.

I have another idea though, instead of Vanity slots why can't they just make certain pieces of gear sets or items(not EVERY SINGLE ITEM) have different "TYPES" Like on the armor it self you will have the options of TYPE1, TYPE2 or TYPE3 style. This will keep the core of the look with some variations.

Me being a Warrior, looking at the various judges, If I can just choose which "Style" or "TYPE" out these options , I would be thrilled with that. Maybe wouldnt be that many options or not but would be a great start I think. There fore everyone would know your still in AF or what not just more variety.

Maybe in low level Dungeons, I go with the ORginal AF look dont want to look too awesome, then high dungeons I switch up with others. Or change daily

^This^, is SE ****s up something as simple as vanity slots and goes the route of GW2 transmute I'm gonna be so sad lol. GW2 did it for their cash shop, ARR is p2p so keep that nonsense away and give us proper vanity slots.

OT: I think on Pld I may use my Lightning gunblade paired with the smallest shield I can find, for my Bard's weapon I'll use the ridiculousness that is the Titan bow, and as far as my Blm goes I have not decided yet.

How about the Astrolabe?

The skin it has is unique to itself and no other weapon has that skin.

This is so sad, but so true. The last thing we heard about vanity slots was that they were going for more of a re-skinning system, which pretty much kills the feature and kills my enthusiasm. The painful lack of armor variety really puts a shine on the disappointment.
