Siren.....

Unfortunately this is how a lot of today's MMO populations think: "we could not clear it on patchday, needs a rebalance!"

Good to see there are plenty of others not agreeing with this guy. BTW, nothing that came out with this patch is 'hard'.. We'll have to wait for 2.2 to be challenged again.

They need to rebalance the gear damage in that dungeon from 100% to 50 and less left on gear durability there's something wrong there. The other dungeons never had this much gear damage in them. I have to agree though this is a hard dungeon to do considering the gear it drops as its the replacement for what AK was. Pretty sure if your in WP gear and grand company gear then this dungeon isn't clearable.

This! We wiped a bit, because there were times when I'd have to top someone off and they'd get that debuff and if I took time to esuna then heal or heal throguh the debufff I really struggled. but once the bard started silencing that debuff cast I had no issues with charm, just a little running away from the crawlers.

I cleared in Duty Finder roulette. We wiped one time as I learned the fight then we killed it. I have 5 i90 pieces and the rest are i70. I think the fight would be extremely difficult to heal in i55 or AK gear... but possibly doable. But if you have a number of i70 or i90 it really shouldn't be a problem.

PS - where's all those people who hate spell speed and say that there's no encounters where you're spam casting ???

It requires a lot of advance techniques that you don't normally find in DF...so in this I agree it's "slightly" over tuned, but then it's suppose to be the hardest 4ppl dungeon, getting close to coil team play.

There's no singlar tactic like AK... so you can't really help with "this is how you do it". Generally,

Tank should have stoneskin or something else that is static healed. Same for healer, stoneskins are good, or lustre, etc, before you can get to esuna/leeches. And with charm, that can be it.

Stun/silence are good, not just on siren, but on adds as well(same with previous bosses), Topping the cursed person off is also good, but not always possible, but they didn't make that bad, can be heal through.

The tank stun is tougher, you just have to dodge it or make sure you're fairly topped off. (should have gotten the hint in Zu)

It really has a lot more to do with having subjob skills to go on top of mains. a pld with and without stoneskin hurts here... a lot.

Did Pharos with random duty finder party with everyone as a first timer. We only wiped out in Zu 2 times, other than that everything else is just a breeze.

Only need the healer to focus on party members more. Use esuna/leeches as soon as the healing debuff appears. For a fight that won't last long like this, just blow your powerful healing spell like Cure II and Cure III for WHM / Adloq and Lustrate for SCH. Use Benediction (WHM) if you think you cannot afford to save someone from charm.

For me, the priority is:
1. Charm & healing debuff
2. Charm
3. Healing debuff

I don't think Siren has any difficult mechanic at all, just healer intensive fight. Also, other ppl say that aoe healing debuff spell can be silenced/stunned, makes it even easier.

Seriously, this. Did it with a pug, and after a few wipes they started insulting me for not being able to do my job. But the adds weren't being dealth with, and nothing was being silenced. I don't even know what they were doing besides standing in the center and whining, at some point they even wanted me to holy (???).
Just saying, it's a fight that depends a load on healer, and it's very heavy on that, but healer could be even a superhero (not saying I am) that if each doesn't do their job is gonna be ugly.

All the people saying l"ololol easy learn to play noob" in this thread...just out of curiosity, what equip did you clear it in? Obviously if you do a dungeon with equip 40 levels higher is gonna be a joke, just saying <.< I personally think it's an hard dungeon consideing it should be equal to AK...I would never wanna do it in l55 gear as of requirement. Or better, Siren is hard, other bosses I found annoying at best but far from hard.

Sorry to hear that you got into a terrible party there. If dps are not paying attention to adds, the fight can be seriously affected because by then you are the one pulling hate from the adds, resulting you to heal yourself and under heal the tank, less esuna/leeches, too much work load on you -as a healer-.

Rather than complaining or ranting, I suggest you to look for some fight videos against Siren. I was asked to watch the video by my random duty finder party before the fight. It doesn't hurt a bit to review your strategy as a healer there.

Anyway, it's a PUG, don't expect anything from it.

you just need a healer that on its toes and dps that can kill adds quick other than that Siren is pitifully easy.

Oh not ranting (maybe looked like it :P) just wanted to point out how, while the healer is usually on top blaming priorities, in this fight it's much more.
And about that run, if that's what you're referring to, apart from me nobody knew anything about the whole dungeon, and I never expect anything from pugs, I just dislike the attitude. ^^ It's too common at endgame looking at other members faults nstead of your own, and from bad players too.
