FFXIV on Nintendo WII U

Some people can't get over the stigma that Nintendo caters to casual & children alot. It's not about the console, it's about the developers & the software(games) they create. It's ultimately up to them (and the hardware to maximize their potential).

Having said that, i'm sure we'll still see plenty of 3rd party developers creating a plethora of kiddie games for the Wii U.

I'm just glad Nintendo didn't focus 100% on all the stupid motion gimmicks to sell to the casuals this e3. They actually had a nice array of games that weren't all FPS (many were 3DS, which sux for me, but still).

Considering all the presentations so far, none have been awe inspiring.

Yeah i might get the system but gaming this generation has made me kinda hate games keep releasing the same games every year. Next we are gonna have FPS's with fighting game elements!

tho my ds doesn't make me feel bad it has game for everyone.

Bioware and Bethesda (well, Obsidian on FNV) have been kicking out the jams as well. Skyrim looks incredible.

TBH I am sick of nintendo, Wii U looks cool but just like the Wii It will have no game I'd enjoy aside from Zelda probably so I'm passing on it. I know this was off topic a little so I guess I'll add so It wouldn't affect me if SE took advantage of it but all the power to them.

Some kind of fighter plane simulators

They had quite a few companies backing their console, I'm just curious to the screen on the controller...the speaker said their is no latency between the console and the controller screen...so that bitch never lags huh and it's wireless? Also, where did it say that is was a 512 flash memory built in? They gave no details on the specs, except that it was being displayed in HD.

Can someone find that article where the speaker said that? I cannot find one.

I would like to see FFXIV ported to Wii:U but the touch screen would not be used for more then a keyboard, come on we all know that to be the truth

I disagree. I think that by what Nintendo showed off at their conference, it is clear that they will have so great hardcore games like assassin's creed and ninja gaiden which will put it on par with what the PS3 and 360 will have as far as software goes.

The new controller is not as much of a gimmick as the wiimote was as it does look more hardcore oriented then the wiimote and will provide some very interesting gameplay ideas when you think about hardcore games.

Yes please, this would be a great system to have FFXIV on... The only issue is if Nintendo doesn't include a Hard Drive to install the game on. If not a true HD, enough internal storage for MMO's to work with.

I am mostly interested in the hardware specs of this system.. still waiting for them though.
