One way or the other, that misses the point -- BLM does not comparatively lack utility. If you discount Lethargy, then you must also discount Feint. Physick is (sadly) not worse than cross-class Mantra. If Leg Sweep is not being used as a primary interrupt, then Virus and Eye for an Eye are also superior long-term damage reduction. Virus can be used to reduce Death Sentence damage, but Leg Sweep cannot. I do not find the utility argument compelling when it it is not generally applicable.

I can't help but giggle at this statement.

Why shouldn't I be able to do 300+ dps like a monk would do ? Give me a reason please, I do have to move and use directionnal attack effects while as a blm the only thing you need to have is timing ...

Lie, we are dps with support skills, that's the true, more then 80% of our abilities are dps skills, we spend 99% of the battle doing dps, and 1% turning on/off a music, in a good group we don't use anything but foe requiem, losing dps only to turn it on. so pls don't talk about what u don't know.

To the one who sad blm has no utility skill, WTF.... eye for an eye(awesome), virus(holy shit), lethargy(...), blm is one of the best class to bring to coil, he cant kite on t4 for quite some time, extremely useful at t5, the high dps... i would prefer a team with 1 bard and 3 blm them anyone else.

Yesterday i was doing turn 2 with my dragoon, i have jump, and i have take the laser. This is very dangerous, i must all the time evade everything, repealing canon, laser, the pac man aoe. And i do it, but playing my blm instead of my drg is far more easy :)

So yes i am so happy for the dragoon up :)

Please correct me if I am wrong but isnt Black Mage supposed to be the superior spike dmg nuker that stands there and brings massive damage on the mob?
Screw the additional effects, this job is purely for blowing stuff up...

If by sweet you mean absurdly overpowered, considering that manawall can completely block damage and knockback on Titan's landslide and Twintania's divebomb.

Also I stand by what I said about the lack of utility, it's rarely their role and the only two that get consistent use is virus and eye for an eye, both not being necessary until turn 4 and 5 and maybe Titan. They are both cross class anyway, and everything else requires some esoteric situation aside from sleep.

Also people are forgetting that if they do zero damage while moving, they are the stand still and nuke stuff class of course their spike dps is going to be off the chart.

Out of all the dps they are the lowest , their dps is dependent on their temp buffs when they are down they put out crap dps .... ALSO when they play a song to help the group 20 percent DPS decrease .. now im pretty sure from reading some of your guys posts you really dont understand how much this gimps a bard dps it makes it crap....

Now to address your comment .. frankly it makes you sound very ignorant because the reason that coil groups take a bard IS NOT because of its dps , Im going to leave it at that and see if you can figure out why coil groups take bards with them.

im not a bard but i feel for them. They are getting nerfed when they dont need to be only because of alot of crybabies that dont fully understand the class/ their class/ or the mechanics of the game.
