question about PS4 version

You're not the only person in the world? People prefer consoles a lot more to PC's? There are many arguments for this but I'm not gonna even bother getting into them. If you cannot accept peoples preferences and then slate them for spending $5 a month for that preference then you might as well be insulting anyone who pays a subscription for anything, including yourself seeing as you play this subscription game and pay a lot more than $5 a month for.

And as someone who owned an Xbox from day 1, you needed Xbox Live gold to play any game online except XI and possibly any older MMO's that were on 360. There was absolutely no other benefit of having Xbox Live other than playing online. No free games, no discounts at all, you had to pay full price for everything on top of the subscription.

There are people that prefere graphic to anything else in a game and spend a lot of $ to build their PCs.
Personally I prefere to get a console and spend what I saved to buy games, besides avoiding all the issues you can get playing on PC.
I'm playing XIV on PC just because I cannot get myself to switch between a pad and keyboard when needed :p

The replies you got weren't accurate. Yoshi confirmed quite a while ago that PSN+ WILL NOT be required to play FFXIV online, nor will it be required for Diablo 3.

That's not a valid agrument for charging for something that used to be free. Again, I'm amazed people are okay with this in general, especially considering how hard a sell MMO subscription fees usually are.

On ps4 you don't need plus to play ffxiv or any other MMO that's coming for that console.

But you do need it to play most nonMMO/f2p games. again, paying for something that used to be free.

yeah if you want to play them online. Last generation it was free to play online multiplayer and yet I still paid because of the games you get with it. I have only bought one game for my ps vita and have played different games like the uncharted one and gravity rush a lot ( i only bought dragon's crown). On the ps3 I got to play a lot of games that turned out to be quite fun. If it weren't for ps plus I wouldn't have bought them.

I get what you are saying but if you don't want to do it then don't. I get a lot of value out of my 50 bucks a year.

I do game on the PC also and it's great with the steam sales and humble bundles. I don't see an issue here.

I just wished I had PSN+ long ago ton of free game and not just D rated games either top notch games AND big discounts on other things.

It pays for itself, I had to get and try it to realize it.

Alhanelem just causing arguments for the sake of arguments it seems. I'm not defending it, only defending the people who pay for it. You pay a fee to play this game so you are doing the exact same as those paying for PS+. So they decide to charge for a service that was free, you don't need to pay for it but otherwise you have no choice. They will not change their minds with so many people willing to pay and it's very difficult to boycott especially from an XIV forum!

I'm not entirely sure why you are so vocally against this when it's not even related. I think this is an issue you need to deal with yourself rather than coming on here and offending people for doing what they like with their own hard earned money. If people want to pay it, that's their right and good on them. It's not like you're losing out with free games every month usually worth a lot more than $5.

he has a tendancy to make himself very vocal on the things he has negative views about and most people dont notice the positive things because of it. he makes himself look very arrogant in most of those negative arguments, he knows this and when you call him out on it he claims you are attacking him. best to just ignore his negative posts and move on
