They are not going to add it in guys, it's too 'stressful'.
But don't worry, you'll get a long ass reply saying no to any request you make, followed by, "Sorry for any inconvenience, enjoy Eorzea!"

Quite annoying not being able to do send tells in there tbh. Turn it on plz.
Bump to keep on front page again. Will continue until we get an update on the status of this.
The minimum would be to allow tell from people in your current party.
if you want to say something to a specific member without saying to the whole team, it's impossible
and this is pretty frustrating
The main frustration is they have come out and said they have masked the feature. Just renable it already and make this go away pleeeeeeease.
I made a big deal about this on the beta, the thread reached over 1k+ likes and they still shrugged it off.
I'm all for it about enabling tells in dungeons.
I think it was very clear why people in runs shouldn't be distracted or interrupted during a raid. I agree 100% do to the fact that people can hardly complete a run successfully even while focused but never listen to instructions becuz of IRL issues. Why add ingame distractions to the mix?
/say, /party, /free company and /linkshell chat channels are allowed so why complain?
I added this to the questions thread:

If you have a friend that you can count on to appear in a dungeon as a stopgap to fill a spot when someone leaves, have them on a linkshell or in your free company. Both those options work very well for me. Numerous times, someone has DCed or quit for whatever reason in a dungeon run and it's taken me all of 60 seconds to do a shout on my linkshells and FC to ask if someone can pinch hit, tell them which language to queue for as in progress, and they're in within seconds.
