Were you just using a figure of speech? Because there absolutely is a reason they deviated from the UI. Tanaka saw his divinely ordained fight with RMT as above even the game itself.
Some of us don't buy that it's something they cannot look into right now while having their other stuff going on. The reality is, we have the kick/promote functions; the PROBLEM is, we cannot just even kick anyone regardless of location!
Many of us have indeed been bringing this up since beta, and anyone that's led a linkshell is obligated to continue bringing it up. Period.
Doesn't matter if it needed to be rewritten IMO. Should have been done a while ago while they were getting the smaller scaled changes out of the way before touching battle system, dungeons, and job system.
Good point. I'm not sure why people think there is a one or the other balance here. "They can only do the battle system or this!" What a load of BS. This, as said several times by several people, is a miner thing that can be quickly implemented and would cause massive benefit.
It's funny that people automatically assume that though. When something is the priority that means its the MAIN IMPORTANT FOCUS, doesn't mean its the only thing being worked on but at least the business world I've been apart of it always means what gets the main work load focus.
I think overall this thread is just about frustrations. Frustration that the game was incomplete at launch. Frustration that groundwork for the game is being done before the smaller, but still beneficial ones. Frustration that things feel so slow to progress and change. We can all feel the clock ticking by, but being outraged and impatient isn't going to give us what we want or the quality we desire. The developers know. It will be worked on. At this point it's just a matter of time. I know it's tedious, but you can't expect things now just because you want it now. Yes, it should have been in the game at the beginning, but it wasn't. We need to come to terms with that and move on. There isn't anymore that can be gained here.
What, do you belong to a company with 3 people in it? This game, as stated by Yoshi, has several teams working on several things at the same time. They can certainly allocate the needed people to fix this minor programming detail that would lead to huge benefits for the game and more importantly its dwindling player base.
Sorry, no dice as usual, Elexia.
I just find it funny that we can kick and add people from our social lists anywhere, but they forgot to implement the same features into LS commands.
