FFXIV is supposed to be turn based? I applaud you for that response, few would dare to make such an audacious claim.
It's already this way in Turn 5. I was getting divebombed a couple of nights ago when I was no where near Twintania and she wasn't even facing me to begin with. Needless to say if SE doesn't at least ADMIT that there's a problem I will be inclined toward quitting this game in the next few months.
I have played a few turn based games and none of them involved getting hit by mechanics you were clearly out of or indicators that don't really indicate anything (the issues people are discussing in this thread). So since being akin to turn based and "feel more turn base" mean two very different things in your mind perhaps you would care to elaborate on what exactly it is you meant, you know for those of us with terrible reading comprehension.
Also, half of the time when this kind of thing happens the rest of the group can actually see it happening. They see the repel cast end then 5 seconds later they see you randomly fly off the edge and are like "wtf."
If it were really ISP/lag issues everyone would just see him get knocked off after the cast ended. That simply isn't what's happening.
I haven't tried Titan HM, but I definitely see this when fighting normal mobs and occasional Mobs in Instances. I am clearly out of the circle, yet get hit anyway. It is clearly broken somehow. I'm sure it's gonna be rough when I try to do those later fights.
I still think it absolutely hilarious that every character, during any raid, runs around like they are MJ moonwalking. OR, fun air yoga poses when doing abilities is also fantastic to watch! Some thing is not right...
The consumer caters to the company when the consumer has to have what the company is selling. And with MMO's that covers enough people to keep the game up for a decade.
Sadly all this is well known in the industry of mmorpg and not implemented in ff14arr :(
And the most sad thing it that they don't admin, that smth is wrong with their servers (flying bodies, repel working 5 sec later for someone and everyone in party see that and etc).
Blame it on the hackers and cheaters for all these problems.
Without them, developers could have put everything on client side.
