I dont think you can resell plots or houses unless I'm wrong. Why would they waste gil they are trying to sell for real life money on things they cannot make money off of.
You need to have FC with certain rank to even start housing. So if RMT's wanna buy the land, they'll need to mass create tons of characters and form a FC to do this.
Now if SE know which idiot RMT did this, all they need to do is get the full list of FC members and ban all at once and that's that much more RMTs out of the game.
The fact that 70% of the replies are grammar cops, tells me he has a point and nobody can poke holes in it.
He's wrong but that's neither here or there. It's instanced housing. That means SE can add as much as they want. Add to that it's a blatant gil sink. let RMT buy the instances out. They can burn gil in maintenance. That's one way to get rid of RMT gil. Beats having innocent people banned and their gil removed.
You missed the part about purchasing the plots. Auctions, highest bidders, people with cash or rmt will run the prices up and people with lots of gill will control the prices of the lots pretty much and i think there was something in there about RMT's buying plots to wash dirty gill or something.
We dont know if there is maint yet. I have learned so far that just because its a certain way in other games it doesnt mean it will be the same here even if it benefits the game itself.
That was one obnoxiously long run on sentence.

Orrrrrrr... It could just be that his point is as bad as his grammar. Just because you point out someone's mistakes in making their point doesn't mean there aren't any holes in it. Personally, I don't see RMT being an issue with housing. That's like saying RMT would be involved with selling primal runs.
It's just not where their business lies.
Oh, that's how it's going to work? I've only been following the whole FC housing thing with one ear but I was under the impression it would be sort of a reverse auction system.
So lets say a large lot starts at 2m Gil. If you have the money you can purchase it right away for that price, or you wait x hours. After x hours of not being sold the price for that lot will then drop by, let's make up some number here, 100k Gil.
You can now purchase that selfsame lot for only 1.9m or you can wait for the next price drop.
Sure, someone else might buy the lot while you wait but with them opening up new instances as the current instances fill up it's really just a waiting game.
The only issue I see is two allied FCs wanting lots close to each other in the same instance but that can be planned too.
So what I'm getting at is, how would you drive prices up in this scenario?
Now I may be wrong in which case I apologize and would appreciate a summary of how the system will work. As I said I didn't really follow it as it's kinda far on the horizon for me.
