Scholar heals are based around proactive healing or mitigation. So no, you should not use physick "90% of the time". Physick is a reactionary heal. If you want to play that way you should level White Mage.
Adloquium should always be up on the tank. When it's up and they still need a heal that's when you use physick. Your fairy heal should be hotkeyed and you should spam it. Be sure you're using Rouse when big damage is coming.
If dps take damage only give them physick, the odd hit here or there requires a reaction heal - which is what physick is. If they're being focused, they need adloquium, as it is a proactive heal.
Don't neglect Eye for an Eye. A mob doing 10% less damage for 20 seconds is huge. Use it for big pulls.
To be a good scholar you need to anticipate incoming damage, not simply react to it. This requires knowing the fights so you know when big damage is coming but that comes with time. Good luck!
