Finally found the Chocobo "Job" bardings - VERY disappointed

If you reach rank 10 with all points in the same tree you will unlock the job barding specific to that.

Healing gets WHM
Tank gets PLD

This is pure insanity and just stupid, why would I as a tank want to get a bird to 10 to get the PLD armor for my bird, iam now stuck with DRG or BLM only as I went dps on my bird.

This is why you'r "VERY disappointed" ? really? Barding is cosmetic. It's not like affects the stats. It only makes sense that the barding awarded is related to the role of the chocobo. It's simple, reasonable logic.

All this RAAAAAAGE over a cosmetic game addition. Give me a break.

What false information? The derp that got downvoted for saying they took them out when there's clear as day evidence of them being in the game as posted in the screenshots? And if the barding was only for chocobo spec and not job specific then they should have not made the 3 specs match job classes because then that shows they only cared to put emphasis on those 3 jobs and not the rest, while all jobs were shown to have chocobo barding before the game launched.

Well this is the old chocobo lineup image with the different bardings. I haven't been able to find a different picture that shows others, so if there is one, please share.

As we can see, from left to right, the lineup is as follows:

Coeurl mount, drg barding, gc barding, behemoth barding, paladin barding, white mage barding, black mage barding.

From this, they didn't lie. Those were the 4 bardings shown to be present in game.

I loved the WHM barding and was hoping I could get it to match my main job.

Here's to hoping I can respec him once I finally level him up...

That's not behemoth barding. I believe its Odin's Sleiphnil (sp) barding.

That one is actually the Odin barding.

kind of a dumb way to obtain the bardings. so you have to respec twice just to gain all of them? why not just make them rare drops that require grinding, why not make them part of a very involved quest or series of?
