Better than the v1 first events. "Back in the day", though, we felt lucky to have a seasonal event. Its entirety was ringing a bell in-town, getting a crafting mat, then finding a crafter to synth the prize. Or less often you'd get a box and would have to run or teleport to one of the hamlets to exchange it for a piece of gear. Ah, those days of low anima. At least it recharged, unlike our gil. :p

I was not expecting a event so I consider this a bonus and I am glad SE re-released 1.0 event items as it gives people a chance to get them now that missed them in 1.0.

You seem to forget Guild Wars 2 released on August the 28th, and Final Fantasy on the 27th so Square enix had enough time to set up something just as amazing

I do hope they make a bigger deal out of holidays going forward though... holiday minions via a long quest chain would be AWESOME. Trick or treat events. Scavenger hunts. Haunted houses. Event boss in Haukke Manor. But then again I absolutely love Halloween so of course I'd want a lot more to do. I am 100% biased ♥

I'll cut SE slack for now because the game is so new. But in the future, I will keep asking for more if there isn't any :p

Too bad we didn't get King Mog implemented for Halloween.

I hope Christmas is better. I mean they only cover one tiny area and call it seasonal.
Why not make the atmosphere spooky too? The nights, witches laughter? Ghosts coming every now and then?

I hope in due time they will make better events...I thought Summer was a last minute thing.

This is not to sound rude. But I, for one, saw this coming from miles. I knew that the halloween event would be something really simple.
It doesn't take a genius to figure out why.

Hint: Priorities.

Off course, the summer event and halloween event feels like something tossed up quickly. Because that's mostly what it also is. Most of their attention is in fixing critical bugs(like the binding coil of bahamut turn 5), enhancing servers/gameplay and working on patch 2.1. Why else do you think we're not even hearing much of the devs around the forum anymore. I'm still hoping to see Fernehalwes back around the forums. But they're clearly swamped with work.

3 things that take up lots of resources. Learn to use common sense people. I'm sure that S-E would have preferred not creating any event at all. So be happy with the small bone S-E is tossing us. I'm only expecting events to become better at/after christmas/new year.

Until then, keep your expectations low.

I think he is being sarcastic about the entire costume. All things considering the seasonal costume is bulky and a huge waste of resources. With the time they took on such a bulky piece they could of made some Halloween items that fell onto the body more naturally and looked cute or sexy(or whatever the kids are into these days).

Please don't make events that are only in FATES...I hate FATES...just put event quests etc.
