Also, your acct can get hacked if someone lives close to you and they are on a laptop, they can get your password wirelessly. All they got to do is is intercept your router signal.

You should run a security check on your computer. It's much more likely that you got compromised and they got your password than them brute forcing their way through it. You should also change any passwords you have for more important things like bank accounts, personal emails, etc.
You should also avoid using any of your passwords in areas that aren't secure like public wi-fi areas and the like. It's also very easy to get compromised through areas like porn websites and illegal music downloads. -

OP I don't know why they didn't clean you out honestly its the only weird part of what happened to you, but like many have said here there must be something you did to compromise your computers security and therefore your accounts security.
