DEVS - Please allow cutscenes to not even be loaded/auto-skipped

I would agree to an option to only load the cutscenes your first time through a dungeon.

As a player on a Slower PC, I am often about 10 seconds behind those who are on gaming rigs per cutscene.

Of course, as a caveat to this, I would agree to making cutscenes mandatory for the first run of the dungeon... Either the Vets can wait, or they can continue on with it while you watch the story.

Let us skip the CS - they are ok the first time but super annoying afterwards, no need for CS on every dungeon on every boss.... Just add option to skip ALL CS previously viewed so no one has to go through these things over and over and over and over again. Grinding is one thing, not having options at 50 to grind dungeons is another thing, but add to that the annoying CS... I sure hope patch 2.1 is bringing tons of adjustment that are sorely needed.

The reason is given as PS3 players and old HDD's on PC's by slower loading times. Speed runners find this to be an issue. Said people get excluded due to dated/slow hardware.

In Mor Dhona shout groups are formed and players openly say No PS3 players allowed. Now you can hide it before you get in CM/Prae but as soon as that first cutscene hits they know. That's when the rumblings begin, if the group is successful you'll be kicked before you even reload back to MD. So now you've pissed off potential future running mates and furthered the PC elitist opinion to exclude other PS3 players. Say it takes you an extra 7 seconds to load the cutscene, then an extra 7 to load back in the dungeon before a boss fight or an elevator ride your left behind or locked out of the fight unless they wait. So they'll fight with 7 members and then say they carries you through a dungeon you're OP for in the first place.

Reminds me of the awful, intrusive CS system from D3. Where you still had to click a million times to get through things on your 70th run through. Not sure if they ever changed that, but I hope SE does. Especially the ones that pop up DURING combat if someone forces one early- resulting in deaths/wipes if the critical members don't get out of CS quickly enough.

Why do people think they can tell OP who to associate with? He's allowed to associate with whoever he wants, the thread is not even about it.
Why do people think they can tell him that he "whines" and that SE won't take his reasoning? He's allowed to post and "whine" as much as he wants as long as it's not against the forum rules, and you don't work for SE to say what topics they read and what they don't.

The topic is about requesting a feature to disable cut scenes from triggering, to reply for it: I'm for it even though I'm PC player simply for the sake of convenience and if it makes some players happy for more reasons, whatever they shall be, just the better!

actualy they should remove the skip button for anyone who enters first.. so everyone is forced to watch 1st time .. 2nd time they should remove the cutscene completely

Gotta agree with OP. And honestly, I don't see how anyone could disagree unless they're not at endgame, are new to endgame, or are PC elitist that want a reason to discriminate against players.

People have been pressing SE for a smoother game since launch, and I think this should be included in that outcry. There's no reason to criticize any changes that can optimize a persons experience by filtering out the rendering of unnecessary data.

I'm not sure how SE has CS integrated in their instances, but from a programming perspective, it doesn't seem like it would be that difficult to add a check box under character config settings that prevent CS from being loaded as long as it's checked.

It makes me sad how many people are completely misunderstanding the concept of what my original post is conveying. I also find it funny that people claim "PS3 only takes 3 more seconds to load!" It is completely untrue for the majority of PS3 users - 10+ seconds of loading the CS, 10+ seconds to skip the CS, 10+ more seconds to load out of the CS back into the world. So for every CS, it takes me (and most other PS3 users) roughly 30+ seconds to completely bypass it. So what happens when people rush to boss room when Im still in a CS? I get left out (most of the time) and it in turn slows down the entire run. Oh, it also adds up to an extra 5 minutes on the speedrun when including all other CS's.

And why? i never watch cutscenes. The only one i watched was the first, because i was unable to skip. i dont force others to skip them, i just dont understand why do you want to force me to watch them. i dont care for them and it should not bother you.
