Alot of my guildies have now finished their castrum farm and have even downed 1st boss in coil now but majority of them dont work for a living like myself and i dont want to come home from work and farm the same old shitty castrum over and over again for weeks just to get good enough gear to raid

I see a solution, quit your job. You now have more time and you won't have to come home tired only to grind the same content over and over. Seeing as you will not be as tired you will have more energy and will feel more able to grind. :P

Honestly, 2.5 hours per piece of gear is not terrible. Many other MMOs would require more than that just for a dropped item that May or may not drop for your class

the chest took over 7 + hours.... 1320 tomes = 14 runs at 30 misn each at best most took 45 mins

Let me preface this by saying that I agree with you that there needs to be more 4mans for tomes.

HOWEVER, they have clearly stated they are adding a random dungeon finder AND additional dungeons in 2.1, so it is not too far away. If you feel grinding 5 castrums a day is a bit much... just don't grind that many a day.

I think you will need to AK quite a bit anyway, if you are clearing to turn 5 in BC, which I don't think you are due to still farming tomes, you will still need a few AKs or Garuda/Titan farms for your mythos. Wanderer's palace speed runs are also a viable way for tomes which are not much worse than castrum. You can clear that place in like 15 minutes for 55 tomes.

well.. SE probably never expected so many players reaching lvl 50, maxed out on darklite, and even reaching coil upper turns before they had time to finalize 2.1

I've accepted the fact that I probably will never have the time to farm and gear up for Coil. I just hit 50 on Saturday. Ran CM for the first time last night through Duty Finder. It was a straight up speedrun, so while everyone was running ahead, I was still viewing the cutscenes. Halfway through, I hated the mentality of the group and became completely disinterested in even finishing the instance.

I'll find other ways to make the game enjoyable but that speed run mentality is terrible and completely ruins the atmosphere.
