Um... you were proven wrong with multiple screen shots of a parser showing DRG dps over 300 (sometimes way over). Not sure why you're still holding on to your old ideals.
TL;DR get better, breh.

Hmm, besides the parses themselves, which I know to be true, I've dpsed with Longnu many times, and I personally see the amount of dps she puts forth, it is an insane amount. I as a level 50 Monk have very rarely been able to beat her dps, not because I don't know my rotation, but because she simply does a ridiculous amount of dps every fight. I do about 220-270 DPS in full darklight and relic +1(No Allagan or crafted gear) just to give you an idea. These parses are accurate.
The moment I saw "dragoons can't do over 300 DPS" and "dummy" I started laughing so hard I couldn't read tbh, wow.
proven wrong with pictures of inconclusive DPS readings with no context in a party setting? sure~
consider that in party setting, LBs are able to be taken into account, dots/skills from other player's skills can be "stolen", and that certain encounters have ways to inflate your DPS (ie - aoe tons of stuff, watch as your DPS is super high~). expecting an accurate, stable baseline dps from parsing in such a setting is unreasonable, thus the parses showing 300+ are inconclusive. i'm glad you felt inclined to support your friend with your own opinion, but if you can't really grasp my "ideals" of establishing an accurate baseline of drg dps, then you really shouldn't be trying to talk~
if it's so funny, please tell me why~ i stated that "on a dummy, i'd have a hard time believing that a DRG can reliably parse 300+ with relic +1 and full DL" instead of the words you put in my mouth. so go ahead and parse 300+ stable on a dummy then~
still; if either person can do 300+ dps or anything near it on a dummy solo after 3m-5m of parsing with a working parser (which is, again, a passable standard for setting a baseline dps measurement) then i'll eat my shoe. should be easy if they can parse 370+ in the full duration of an actual boss fight, right~?
frankly, i don't think it can be done by longnu or the other guy, taking player skill, gear and class limitation into account. no amount of "player skill" (in this low skill ceiling game) will let you pass the limitations of class/gear sadly
or maybe there's a secret in longnu's tactic of clipping disembowel/ct at 10s+, reapplying HT with more than 5s on it, using jump while GCD is up, among many other things~ gotta think outside the box maybe?! heh.
i'm looking forward to your replies; please do bring your full FC defense force to supplement your argument, since your player skill in DPS can be called lacking from a brief examination of your titan video, which serves as a better example of the DPS you can output, rather than usage of a faulty parse log as a basis.
Good response, I didn't read it.
So you're saying because the numbers were parsed from a REAL boss fight that they in no way count as a good baseline for what DRGs can do? Instead you only want to rely on theoretical dummy parses? Sounds pretty backwards. I'm sorry that with better gear you can't even fathom reaching those numbers, but that's a player issue obviously.
I can get 270 on bard and I dont even have invigorate or blood for blood yet, And don't have my +1 or a replacement for 1 AK ring. If you can't out dps a bard on Dragoon that's kinda lol. You may want to rethink your rotation, or the speed at which you play.
