BLU for Duty Finder and Raids! Show your support!

I heard that they forums are close to our's. A pretty even split in how many like and how many are against this blue mage and limited jobs. Quite a few calling it a mini-game. This is all what people have claimed they translated or someone they know did. /shrug

I'd honestly love it if SE stuck to what they're trying to do when we don't know the whole picture. Not every class HAS To be made for raid. Give us more solo content besides crafting/gathering/gold saucer mini games, if that means giving us a combat type class that has a heavy amount of solo stuff, then I'm all for it.

Don't make Blu a cookie cutter of classes we already have.

It's nonsense to say that a job (or all of them for that matter) can't have side content and/or options for crazy solo shenanigans unless it's segregated into a space that doesn't follow the rules of the game. They could put in a DF option to toggle "broken mode" on and off for example.

There have been a lot of ideas and concepts for how blu could function in a different way than the current jobs. Again, it's nonsense to act like all ideas have been used up.

The BLU will be able to raid once it reaches 80, it just won't be able to use duty finder for it.

They didn't say one way or another that blu will ever be able to raid current content. The info made it sound like that wouldn't be possible but we don't know for sure quite yet. My side is angry because of the current restrictions and the awful reasons why. We are fine with it starting off at 50 and if they wanted data first before shaping up the job. We are against the idea of blu never being able to reach the level needed to do current content and if the restrictions are never lifted.

Some people don't have the time to make premade parties and rely on matchmaking in duty finder.

As it stands, its highly unlikely BLU will ever reach max level during relevant content. Which is the major issue here. Being locked into level 50 (content people either do unsync or in DF) and not being able to use DF ourselves is just sad.

When you get a new expansion with new areas to explore but you cant bring the job you want to play because its stuck in 2013 is really disappointing.

Aside from DF, we cant access any of the SOLO like content. Deep dungeon, Eureka, hunts and treasure hunting (above lv50 ones).

Imo the uproar is justified whether you want BLU to stay solo only, or go into DF. The main suspect is the level 50 cap which is quite LIMITing (ugh.. i hate myself for saying that)
And yes. I know they will raise the cap in patches. Thats not the point. We want to play the new content when its NEW. Not 15 months later

Unlimit BLU square enix!

I don't think so, they were very clear that BLU's level-5 death would insta-kill bosses and make raids trivial. They also stated that it would simply have it's level increased throughout I believe...was it 4.5 patches? or 5.0 patches? either way it seems unlikely that they want it in relevant content.

It's nonsense to ignore the fact that people have been asking for something different. We're getting something different. Not everything has to be able to do certain things. There's a horrible amount of optional solo content in the game. They're giving us a big amount of solo content with this in the form of a 'combat' class.

Just because there's many versions of Blu that people are suggesting, doesn't mean a lot of people actually like them. I've seen a small amount of them, not all of them, and I haven't really seen one that I actually liked. What I did see from SE's side, I did actually like. I honestly want to see what we're gonna get before everyone keeps trying to demonize that Blu can't raid. I've been wanting better solo content in the game I can do during quieter hours, and this looks like it.

Like I've said in another thread, 'If you try to give everyone what they want, then no one truly gets what they want'.

Does blu have to be that "something different"? Couldn't they have used onion knight or freelancer instead? Barely anyone of my side are saying there shouldn't be solo content or for what's coming in 4.5 to be removed. There were/are ways of making the solo content and full jobs. It will take longer for sure. Most on my side would be fine with waiting even if it took to 6.0 if we knew that a full version of blue mage was in the works.

"Not everything has to be able to do certain things." okay so then what if you were told that they would never add solo content to the game because they didn't want to focus on that? Would you complain? Would "well not everything has to be able to do certain things" be a fair way to shut down requests for that type of content?

That's fine if you haven't seen an idea you like. They are not making content for any single person. They should however be trying to have as large of a "net" as possible that is also strong enough to serve as a reason for many to keep subbing. If they did a version of a full blu job, there would be some that wouldn't like how SE made it. If there was enough that hated it, then it could be changed how smn, mch, and brd have been. How drk will be changed in 5.0 because of the SB version.

Okay, well "if you don't give enough players what they want, then there is not enough resources so no one truly gets what they want.". It's a bad idea in mmos to have a lot of segregated systems and content like this. How will resources be divided up between them all? What happens when players that enjoy one type of content have to wait multiple patches or a whole expac before what they like is updated? We should be pushing for more content that isn't restricted that appeals to more players and accept it if that requires a slower patch cycle or that some content takes a bit longer to be released.

By the time it reaches 80 people will probably be lvl 99/100 to where it wont matter when people can just unga and unsync it.
And its not just about raiding it can't pvp,no deep dungeons,to be able to do story with it you would have to stagger your gameplay possibly waiting years for its cap to rise to do SB or ShB content as a example.
