With how high in demand Viera are, and how relatively light XIV is on XII references (at least that I've seen), I would be more surprised if they didn't bring Viera in at some point.

I don't really trust SE to implement a race properly without making it another cutesy race, remember what happened to the Au Ra?

I don't think SE makes races "cute", per-se, just attractive.
I would change to Viera in a heartbeat.
You know that the leg structure would be the first thing to end up on the cutting-room floor though. I mean, they reduced the size of everyone's butts across the board when they launched 2.0 to make it easier to rig equipment for the various races.
With that taken away, they'd basically end up as Hyur with rabbit ears and tails.
I've noticed Asian people, or rather specifically Japanese tend to prefer the cute look and that's what they consider attractive. Very feminine, eloquent, etc. This doesn't apply for all of them of course (before I'm yelled at for being generalizing all of them) but it seems to be a common thing, wildly different from what's portrayed in Western media at the very least. Still, if they were going for attractiveness I'd say these Au Ra males look far more attractive than the ones we have now.

I honestly don't think we need anymore races right now. What I want to see is to have the histories of current in-game races brought into the game, other than being some sub-forum/section of an internet forum.
Let's say if SE added a race like The Elder Scroll's Argonian (lizard/dragon people who have full scales) would people play them since they would look way less human?
