So like was this a troll post? lol... I don't get why it got to 38 pages so fast.
I guess the obviousness that it would be a troll would be: Why is it just Turn 9 that is the culprit here as being the only turn with scripted mechanics (so much so as it no longer interests OP). Clearly the turns after that have the same tried and true scripted mechanics that basically the entire game has while we are talking about it (yes yes, I know there are some random mechanics like turn 10 with the random chance of tether and charge, varying combinations for instance, but those are less common).
Could it be that was just the last one you did and...sour grapes cause you couldn't find a group that you liked doing it with (can't solo it after all)?
It's nothing new, basically I hear people say that stuff a lot. It's like everyone has their excuse why they don't wanna raid on hand. I enjoy raiding, but I know not everyone does. I have plenty of friends that steer clear of it altogether. But my advise would be, to avoid 38 page thread like this, just say that you don't like the game in general or raiding in general or whatever the case is. When you single out turn 9 (a stopping point for many just starting raiding, late in the game), it just sounds like sour grapes and everyone feels tempted to just troll....
Why I have no interest in Coils more specifically, T9.

Some of us get joy out of beating the hard encounters in the game. I take absolutely no pleasure in running dungeons/chocobo racing/triple triad/Crystal tower runs or anything like that.
My fun comes from those wipes, watching as my group wipes over and over but getting further and further and performing better until finally you beat that encounter, until eventually you can do things like t9 without even thinking, but I still find T9 to be one of the most fun fights in the game.
You clearly don't care for end game raids, and that is absolutely fine, but some for some of us, that's the part of the game we enjoy. Personally, I like a challenge, the harder the content the better for me I don't care if it means countless wipes, I like that progression gaming. -

And the fact that the fight itself is an endurance test, its probably the boss weighing on their minds rather than the boss being difficult. Its the same reason people fail/make mistakes on any other test. Memory isnt perfect. Its bound to happen eventually.Quote:
