I notice a lot of WHMs use Medica II during stacks which is... fine? I always use Cure III when I need to stack, but sometimes I'm a little too fast for the precast and I heal myself before the damage comes out. @_@
Thanks, I see myself as more of a Regina George though.
That seems like the expected response, yeah.
I honestly find it pretty easy to heal stacks in 8 and 24 man instances with Cure III - I wasn't aware that it was something people had trouble with. If ut helps anyone I only Cure III when I can precast it to time it properly, I don't cast it as the damage goes out.
Had a weird run of Qarn normal a while ago. Was leveling my paladin, and it was the highest dungeon I could sign up for. Got into the dungeon, 2 RDM healer is a…WHM, I think…? I think the healer was new? Can’t remember…
Noticed quite soon that DPS was kind of low, so I checked the gear of one of the RDMs. Gear from unlocking RDM. So maybe they’re new to the job. That’s fine, I can deal with it. Everyone is new at their job at some point. I didn’t check the gear of the other RDM, though…. I really should have….
First boss. One wipe because DPS didn’t kill the bees. No worries, it happens. Try again, dps is low but we make it. I still think it’s because one of the RDMs are new and might not know their rotation yet.
Second boss. Two wipes, I think? Healer was constantly running out of MP from healing the other RDM (I still didn’t bother to check their gear…). Asked (nicely) the RDMs to mana shift the healer when the healer's MP was about half full, or to slot mana shift if they didn’t have it slotted. One of them said they didn’t have it slotted, but they would slot it now (the RDM that seemed new to the job) and after that they gave mana to the healer whenever the healer needed MP. Nice RDM!
We somehow cleared the second boss, but it was a close call. Why didn’t I check the gear of the second RDM at this point…? I have no idea…
Last boss. I think we wiped 3 times before I finally checked the gear of the other RDM. It had ilvl 1 gear… The stuff you get from veteran rewards (cloud gear, I think?) No wonder DPS was horrible  I was way too nice and asked if they could change gear to something better. They put on an i120 chestpiece, nothing else changed… We did beat the boss, though.
Should’ve checked the gear of both RDM earlier. Should’ve kicked the troll/bot/whatever. Now they got a carry….
Why, WHY do you go into a lv 35 dungeon with ilvl 1 gear? Just….why?!
So even though I was in a squadron mission the highlight of this will be my "chat" as a result of something I said.
So on a whim I decided to do Pharos Sirius with my squadron and it was awful because the AI sucks. I went as Dark Knight and there were... complications. Towards the end of Symond the Unsinkable I was nearly dead due to lack of white mage AI heals and was forced to pop living dead (a horrible skill in squadron missions as they cannot and will not heal you out of walking dead). As walking dead ended Symond also apparently died so at least the boss battle ended as a success.
You might be wondering, aside from the awful AI just what's so odd about this? Well I talked about this in chat and I was met with "spoilers". Spoilers? Talking about Pharos Sirius on dark knight squadron missions is a spoiler? Well apparently they had forgotten or don't know what dark knight skills are because this is effectively what I drew in my head:
The first boss of Pharos Sirius, "Symond", died in the dark knight debuff "Walking dead". I don't watch a certain TV show but yeah this happened. We need to go on a mission to spread the word of the dark knight for it has been forgotten in the minds of the people. I'm also batman apparently.
Hmm thats strange.I ran Pharos sirius on my warrior with gc squadron and found it quite easy.
Maybe you werent useing commands with the AI because its really not hard with them.
I used engage and whatnot but the problem wasn't them attacking but rather the healer ended just not healing me until it was too late some of the time. I almost found it easier to simply just not tank the adds. I haven't done squadron missions for a good patch or so.
I’ve never been sure how to use Cure III. I’ll keep it in mind for stack markers from now on.
I don't generally play healer, and since I'm not a very experienced healer, my timing for my AoE heals isn't that great. I have most of my experiences on melee and tanks, so pre-casting is not something I can execute consistently. So I find whenever I use Cure III, it either goes off early or by the time it goes off the melee or the MT has already moved out of the stack and missed my heal on them. So I'd rather just Medica or Medica II and actually hit them all than have my Cure III miss people. And I think that's where a lot of healers you run into in the DF will stand as well.
I'm seeing a lot of people say things similar to this and I'd like to address it directly. I don't mean this aimed at any one person and I don't mean to condescend, all that aside...
To effectively use Cure III you need to precast. It isn't the fault of your parties spreading out after an attack, they are under no obligation to stay standing there to recieve a heal, either you precast a Cure III (mp efficent if you can make use of the full heal) or if you can't be bothered to precast then you do a less effiecent heal like a double Medica or Medica II.
I just don't like to see these "but my party doesn't stay still long enough" things, it makes it sound like your parties should be compromising their dps so that you can use another part of your kit and that isn't the case. Precast it to land after the attack and no one has to adjust anything at all and you get to use a great skill.
On "smaller" bosses you can even use cure III to heal the tank and some melee. Or in trashpull if a melee happens to steal aggro for some reason and you need to heal both the tank and the dps at the same time. its also good to heal yourself and a nearby range dps. Just stay a bit closer to them.
Just had a great ARF run with a newbie DRG from Balmung who did pretty well. Our BLM made excellent tactical use of the LB right before the first boss when the trash mobs were getting obnoxious. The SCH did a good job, even if their comp tried to kill us with a momentary freeze. Positive attitudes all around, and I was kinda grateful for the chance to get extra Poetics when I am trying to get some Shire for my NIN.
EDIT: And follow it up with a Dun Scabies run from Hell. The healers weren't healing except AoE's, and only occasionally on those. The summoner from Adamantoise who was throwing out raises left and right, I applaud you, and not just for scraping me off the floor, but everyone in our party. Yeah, I got unlucky and got DS on BLM and I'm not totally familiar with the raid, so I died a lot. But following raises, especially macro'd raises with annunciators, the healers should at least give 'em a spot heal so they're not sitting at 5% HP for upwards of a minute until some unavoidable kills them again. We never wiped, but after Scathach, I did joke that I should have just taken my thirty minutes...
On the actual mechanics of this fight... this was a dungeon mechanic I tried to work out on my own, and my team members must have hated me for those times I ran it before looking up the correct strategy. I'd thought that perhaps the glowing sphere was supposed to be dropped on the glowing circle, and did so repeatedly trying to see what it did. Somehow failed to realise that team members were 'pushing the buttons', and never ventured onto one myself (because I was wary, and possibly trying to see what the orb did).... anyway, it's one of the things where you're not guaranteed to understand the mechanics just by observing other people do them - at least not while you're also trying to participate in the battle.
So, after getting annoyed at my RL sister the day before for queuing us in for Shinryu (normal) as healers (it's a fight I absolutely hate and have only been in there 3 times; once as black mage which is where my PTSD comes from and now twice as a healer), I decided to queue up on my fresh-70 PLD (so happy I finished it. First tank at 70!) while I'm on voice chat with my EB partner who is in laying in bed because it's late. I'm thinking I'll get Titan (which I get a LOT for some reason) but I say to him "man, if I get Shinryu I dunno what Im going to do. I almost wanna just leave it but that's not fair." We have a chuckle, the queue pops, takes me a moment to load in and..that's my cue to start cursing.
100% got Shinryu.
I'm just.. annoyed and now anxious. To top it off, there are at least 4 newbies to the fight, two for sure had never been there and the others could have been alts but I don't think they were.
I express that I've never lived through it, and that I dislike it, and that I'm here as tank for the first time. I only remember a few of the mechanics but not enough.
We wipe on the first tidal wave because no one mentioned it and I forgot to mention it until it was too late (although I did remember to use Tempered Will so yay for me). After that first wipe, one of the DPS leaves without a word. He's replaced by a SMN not too long after that. I'm still on voice chat, still annoyed and still wanting to leave but not prepared to. I don't even care about the penalty because this was the last thing i was going to do before bed and honestly, I could just log out and go to bed, but it wouldn't be fair to everyone else so I stayed.
We tried again and got further this time but with the proximity aoes we managed to live through one but not the next one. So it was another wipe. I think in total we wiped 4 times before we finally made it to the second phase (I was able to tell the newbies to press the button quickly and then run as soon as we hit the platform). We lived through that but both healers died from the tail or something. We restarted, made it again to that phase and when the platform turns to ice, I quickly typed 'DONT MOVE!' which caused the opposite reaction and a bunch of them moved and ..wipe.
We made it up to 30% echo and that's when we finally kind of came together enough to eke out the win. No one had left after that first DPS. I did feel bad because I mentioned when I went through as BLM I died so often that the healers just stopped bothering to raise me. The one newbie who for sure was new, she died a lot and the last death, the healers just left her there (granted though, boss was at like 5%).
In retrospect, the fight isn't that bad as tank as it is as healer or dps. It's still not one I want to do again willingly, but it was a bit easier as tank.
So yesterday was a fun one. My friend in game needed to do a few levelling roulettes for her zodiac relic, and was 2 short. First one pops and we do it alright, but it was Aurum Vale. But I played like hot garbage and messed up all over the shop, pulling extra mobs and the like (thankfully my friend was on PLD so picked them up, but gave me a good scolding for it too). But we get through. She needs 1 more. So we queue... and get Aurum Vale AGAIN.
She's like "OH GOD WHY!?" and ragequits (presumably joking around). Then she realises she's been hit with a 30 minute penalty. I stick around (even though I'm BRD), but the other DPS left too. Then we get a second DPS quickly, and then tank joined a few pulls later. Get through without any major problems. Though I did manage to mess up the BRD LB. Go to hit all the mobs with it, position myself badly and manage to hit 1. I joked about it in chat, but inside I was like "Are you [expletive] stupid Furry!?"
Decided to do Alliance Roulette to get some practice on MNK (going from RDM to MNK is... interesting) and get Rabanastre.
I'm normally not elitist and hate feeling like one, but holy cow was I glad to get out of that instance as fast as possible. I popped a few bubbles and then noticed people weren't popping them at all (so there were a bunch of Ice Slaves about). Not enough people were killing the Blizzard III mobs, so people were transformed into Snowmen. The Alliance phase (three Sanuwa) happened while Mateus was at 50-55% HP (I recall people having enough DPS to knock Mateus down to 3% around the end of 4.1 before those adds show up) and we barely met the DPS check on that (his LB was at... 99% I guess? I managed to survive at ~1000HP from 42k thanks to Riddle of Earth). Team A's add was at 50% when B and my team killed ours. He got to use Unbind two more times after that.
Instantly left after saying "Yeah no thanks." Don't even feel bad. If Mateus took that long to kill with that many mistakes, then I did not want to experience the Hashfail. Yes, I am aware there could have been newbies, but I kinda expect newbies to figure things out for themselves by either watching other players or using common sense (it's what I do when I'm doing new content).
well... this is a... wut episode. I'm lvling pld and loaded in Gubal HM. Healer was a lala, and after I pulled the first mobs one of the dps says : "hello sry i will leave because i dont raid with lalas". And proceeded leave. I was like........ wtf?
one time, this party really made me mad. I was a PLD tank, pulling big in an endgame duty. the mobs took a while to die, because dps was bad but its whatev. the healer was not struggling on MP so I thought everything was fine. but then the healer was like "if you pull big they die slowly", even though the party WANTED big pulls. I left that duty.
My EB partner and I decided to do Skalla a couple of times to see if I could get my caster coat which I still have never seen drop despite, I'm sure, 100+ runs. It's to the point now that I don't have to move with Kelpie's push/pull (I pop Surecast and never get flung around), I know which aoes I can eat safely and which I need to gtfo of. On the last boss, I know where to stand and when to aetherial manipulate out of the way of his tail or spit moves. I could do this dungeon in my sleep.
We ran the first time, no problems. Partner was tank and we pulled big and everyone kept up. Things melted quickly even though the SAM we had was only just at ilvl based on his gear. I massively outleveled him there and so it was no surprise when my aoe rotation was hitting 10k+. No biggie. He did well and we survived everything easy peasy. Healer kept up (an AST) and fed me Balances and Arrows when they could. They were putting Boles on tank and giving SAM the spears for Crit. Everything went swimmingly.
The second time, we had a RDM and another AST. No one was new. We received no notice saying someone hadn't completed the duty. On the first trash pull, I ran up too quickly and hit leylines too fast and realized then that I was a bit closer (as in, almost right on top) to the pack than I usually like and I had to dodge a few overlapping aoes. I ate one or two single aoes with not a big drop in my health. AST stayed in Noct and shielded, which was fine. Until after that first trash, AST decides to type into chat "Kiko!!! stop standing in aoes!!"
I ate maybe 2 and didn't drop below 50% health in doing so. But, ok. Before the next pack, he types "dammit!" and I thought that was a followup to his previous comment. Whatever. We're not slowing down and I don't have time to keep melting things and typing "I got this." Before Kelpie, he says "one sec" but EB partner didn't see it and I didn't say it in time on VC before he pulled the boss. AST was literally right at the entrance.
AST decided then to just not join the fight and instead keep typing:
"dammit wasn't to you"
"it was to my controller"
"but you took damage"
"you were too close to aoes"
Well now the barrier is up and our healer isn't with us so I'm not about to stop and chat with him while we're a man down. RDM did their best to keep us healed; tank used Clemency on me a couple of times, and I used Drain. Eventually (and longer than usual) we down the boss and I say "it's ok :) I got this!"
What happened for the rest of the dungeon can only be said to have been done out of spite.
AST pulls a Balance? RDM gets it.
AST pulls Bole. RDM gets it.
AST pulls Arrow. RDM gets it (why?! They have dual cast!)
AST doesn't put out any Aspected Helios.
AST only spam shields me.
The pull leading up to the second boss we do as a giant pull and caster LBs it all. AST figures that out, lays down Earthly Star while tank is trying to gather everything up. Before tank can even begin to move them all to the star, AST types "please get in the circle. It's there for a reason." >.> Tank moves and I LB, easy peasy.
Second boss, I did avoid the aoes. One of the conal aoes though I ate because I knew I could not get to safety in time (I was at the end, at the widest portion and no one was within range of aetherial manipulate because the AST was sticking to the RDM like glue) and so I'm not going to stop my Foul cast to make a futile attempt to run out of the way and get hit anyway. I see AST draw a Balance and gives it to themselves.
This went on the rest of the way. The entire way, I was avoiding 99% of the aoes; I ate one that caused Heavy and (not surprisingly) AST did not Esuna it off me, so I ended up eating another one because I couldn't get out of the way. At the last boss, it got even worse. AST wasn't shielding me except occasionally. They were healing the RDM (who incidentally was eating more tail swipes, and got hit with Confusion, more than I did). I was zipping around the platform when necessary between leylines or aetherial manipulating to safety. I shielded myself when I knew I couldn't make it to safety from the proximity aoe.
I see Balances, Boles, Arrows, Spears, all going to RDM. Not one to tank or myself. Healer is healing Tank, and then just starts spamming Aspected Benefic on me for the shield.
Again, the entire dungeon I tried to avoid all the aoes as best I could (and way more than I usually do; no healer before him has said anything and have simply adjusted with me being moderately immobile and moving only when I 100% have to ((tail swipe, spit attack)) ) but I know that at ilvl 355 (or thereabouts) there are a lot I can safely eat without dropping below 50% health. I moved as much as I could but in the end: I am a black mage. I hate saying "healers adjust" but I'm not ending a Fire 4 or a Foul cast early to avoid an aoe that is going to hit me for 5% of my total health and risk not getting the cast off at all, or having to transpose quickly into UI to reset my enochian timer thus losing Fire 4 uptime. Maybe if I had an Arrow card that would have been easier to do, but they were giving them all to the Red Mage.
The kicker was, this AST has all casters at 70. They play a lvl 70 black mage (although maybe not their main?). Surely then, they knew for sure which cards to give to black mages and how immobile they sometimes are. All of that fuels my belief that their behaviour throughout the rest of the dungeon was out of spite because I wasn't moving constantly like the red mage was (because I can't).
In the end, the Red Mage got both my comm and my partner's comm. I walked out with one comm and...
I got the freaken caster coat. The only time I have (literally) ever seen it drop and it's on that run and I win it with a roll of 66 against another caster.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Skalla always has the best stories :)
I could be mistaken, but this part makes it seem like the AST didn't quite understand their cards or was just being lazy,. Again, I could be wrong - AST and I didn't click well, despite my getting it to 70 - but shouldn't they have been converting a lot of those cards to either Royal Road or Minor Arcana?
Based.
I remember last gubal hm I did for my ast anima.. one sam that had happy feet infront of every mob (including cleavers), a blm, and a mentor pld. Managed to see Behemoth's meteor... no big deal, until everyone else died to it including the sam that dash'd immediately after my rescue. Surprised I still managed to salvage a win.
Sooo on an alt... doing.... Satasha of all places... healer is mentor, yes a mentor immediately they start facepulling from the new tank who was obviously a new tank makes me have to pinch heal to keep up the tank and the healer because the so called healer just wont stop the entire run... it goes painfully slow... finally beat the boss I gave my com to the tank and I got commed twice. all in all it was a painful lesson in why people get salty over crown wearing mentors.
If the AST was simply throwing Balances and Arrows to the RDM, or throwing weird things to the tank and myself (like spire to me, and arrow to the tank), then I could possibly see it as an issue of not understanding their cards. But Bole is the one that reduces damage taken by 20% and that one is almost always given to the tank, with a few exceptions (tank already has one and there's a melee in party). I've never given it to ranged (or caster) dps because they shouldn't be taking that much damage to necessitate it.
As for royal roading: Some ASTs do royal road in 4-man but I tend to find that I don't unless I happen to draw a Spire, already have something good held (like Balance), or can't use Minor Arcana so I will RR Spire and then throw up what I have held in my spread assuming it'll be beneficial to everyone. This AST was not royal roading anything. When I say only the RDM was getting cards, I literally mean only the red mage was getting cards.
I was in Ex roullete with a friend, we got a random dps and healer who proceeded to pull mobs to the new tank who said she was not ready for them. When we asked them to stop they proceeded to hurl insults and be generally rude. My friend reported the incident, and we left that trash party.
Seriously dps and healers should not be pulling. ever. TANK pulls however much theyre comfortable with.
I just had a terrible run on Lost City of Amdapor. I had to enter it because of the stone plates for the Aniumus Step of the old relic which I'm doing right now on WHM.
The run was a desaster. Not because of the others but because of me doing insanely terrible.
We almost diead or did die (can't remember anymore becuase of all the fails from my side) on the first big pull, second pull 2 people died because of me ranting that Eureka made me bad (shitty excuse I know). On one trash pack we died because I used benediktion on the tank who had 95% instead of using it on me since I was almost dead thanks to one add I didn't realized I pulled aggro on.
And the final death was on the last mobs before the final boss, got paralysed and one of the flying eye mobs stunned me everytime I wanted to heal me (the tank took the blame on himself while it was clearly my fault)
The boss went ok after that and on top of me doing the worst I ever did I got all 3 coms since they were in a premade.
I can't actually believe they didn't kick me, like seriously. I feel horrible right nowhttp://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/i...lies/frown.png
Got Dun Scaith for Alliance Raid Roulette today and ended up being one of Those Dragoons
I remembered at least some of the mechanics but I finished the Heavensward story about... 3days? before SB came out (only started playing in Mar17) so admittedly whilst Void Ark is now a faceroll and I have done WCoM enough to know it, I just haven't done DS enough to remember everything - previously I've always run it with my bf reminding me about bits.
I must not have been the only one since we wiped at Ferdiad Hollow, and at one point in Diabolos Hollow almost all the raid died.
Still though I logged off in shame afterwards. I think I must have died at least 5 times in Ferdiad hollow alone....
Last night I ran PLD and got Ala Mihgo. I said (Good Morning!) and no one said anything. I pull the first two packs and the healer ran ahead of me and came back with more friendly friends. I pick them all up, healer starts spamming holy and lets me die, group wipes. I jokingly say "Oh you wanted me to pull THAT big, should've said something. lol" Healer says "/roll eyes" one of the dps says "ALWAYS pull to the end" Naturally I don't fully trust the healer since they let me die on the first pull but I pulled "to the end" and things ran smoothly and during the first boss I saw my hp run really low and the healer was spamming stone so I cast a clemency on myself. Healer says "... you wont die." I decided to be cheeky and throw a clemency on the low hp healer. They say "okay now your going to die" so they decided not to heal me and I kept myself alive for the rest of the boss fight.
Then I move on to the next trash pull, healer decides to afk and let me and a dps die. Then they all left without a word. Eh oh well, a minute later another healer and dps popped in one of them being new and we finished the dungeon np.
I looked at my contacts list and saw that the healer and dps from the beginning of the instance were from the same server. I'm guessing they're from the same FC. Why the FC mates put up with such a short-tempered healer is beyond me. No wonder they have to pug a tank. Some people though man lol.
OMG that would be fun. So many attacks to keep track of, SO many targets for all my amazing AoE spells. *Pictures a Foul hitting 30+ targets and critting on half of them* Yes. Please. Make this a thing! Seriously, sign me up. Im a DPS, i dont stress over a big pull - my AoE rotation is the same for 4 targets as would be for 44. The healer and tank are the ones who would "learn a lesson" in your scenario.
Had DRK in Haukke. Wouldn't use Unleash or Grit without us telling him to do so. Didn't know what combos were. Didn't have Darkside. Didn't know what Spinning Slash or Power Slash, his enmity combo, was. His response to everything we said trying to help him was "I'm trying tank, I normally dps".
I vote abandoned after first boss. Fastest I had ever seen it passed. We told him to do Hall of the Novice, but to be honest, if you have every job at 30+, a job near levelcap, and you still don't know what a combo is, how to do your job quests, or how to read your tooltips, you're hopeless.
Btw first boss he spammed hard slash the entire fight, used unleash (while out of range), didnt pull with unmend, kept turning grit on and off until he was oom, and used spinning slash (not combo'd) twice, maybe 3 times.
WHM can handle it null sweat.
tbf it's expected to at least double pull level capped dungeons.
that said there's no excuse for healer letting you die.
(also said ala mhigo, esp 1st boss, has very predictable damage, easy to do that entire fight with no healing gcd on whm/sch)
I just got a full-time dps SCH in the Vault few days ago
No healing, no shield, nothing except broil and broil and broil over and over again.
even when tank died… it still took her a few broils to noticed that.
that shitty SCH was not even new (neither to the class nor to the game). s/he has many classes at lv.70 and Full set Alex savage gear.
well... for her credit, she used Indomitability once while we had under 10% HP at the last boss but nothing else. (she DID healing herself btw but just ignored us)
praise Eos and vercure that kept us alive til the end with no wipe.
sadly she rushed through the exit door before we could say anything, probably don't want to receive a 'complaination' from us. lol
what a painful run.
This was a little while back. I decided to level my NIN for a bit because I was bored (used to main it from ARR to the beginning of SB when RDM came out). I hopped onto Shisui of the Violet Tides and there was a DRK, WHM, and a BLM. Things were going really well until after Ruby Princess. The DRK demanded, keyword demanded, me to stop using Death Blossom on trash mobs. I thought to myself, "Okay, but why? Doton is on the field, so Ninjustu is on CD. So is Kassatsu. And my Ninki gauge is not high enough to use Hellfire Frog." So, I just ignored him and moved on.
Next set of mobs, the ones I think before the last boss, I use Death Blossom again. The DRK says "wtf" and started to call me derogatory names. So I fired back at him with the snarky "You don't pay my sub" line because I felt that I need to defend myself. Then he says that I was wasting everyone's sub time. I inspected his gear because, who doesn't? He has the 240 anima weapon and I thought to myself that he's being a hypocrite for making that statement. I didn't say that to him though, I just told him to stop crying. We got to the final boss, he pulled it, and just /sit in front of her telling me that he won't tank for asses. We of course end up wiping.
I ended up losing my patience with this guy, and proceeded to vote kick him. It passed. The WHM and BLM were on my side and agreed that there was nothing wrong with me using Death Blossom. We also found a replacement tank almost immediately. Looking back, I know that I shouldn't fired back on him like that, but if the tank wasn't being so demanding, this whole situation wouldn't happen. The BLM and I were doing good enough dps to cover the 240 anima weapon, and the WHM is an excellent healer.
So I ended up running levelling roulette late last night when I was pretty near passing out. But healer adventurer in need came up as I was about to sign out, and being a greedy DPS, I jumped in as WHM. I was so out of it I can't even remember which dungeon I ended up running but I was a disaster, and I honestly wish I could give comms to the rest of my party just for putting up with me (seriously can't believe I wasn't kicked). The tank was a good sport even after I let them die twice because I used the wrong skill on the wrong target one too many times. I think they thought I was drunk (?). Sadly I don't really have a clear memory of most of the run; I can only hope that I did okay after wiping.
If you were in that PUG and are reading this, I'm so sorry about that, and I really appreciate you letting me stay.
I had a party telling me to do that in ala mihgo. I was PLD and had never done it before in my life. I hate playing that way but I noticed there we're a lot of barricades which made each pull managable. The whole time one of the puhs was constantly berating me about how to play my class as though I hadnt spent the last 2 months playing it. It was basic stuff too. They would get made because I turned around when those roadatar mobs zoomed last me and I wanted to grab aggro. They got mad when an add I didn't see attacked them and was informed I'm supposed to use flash. (no expletive)
Anyway we do the first boss with little trouble and we get to the next segment. I pull to the end like they had been demanding I do then I stopped at the stairs seeing the absurd amount of stuff following me and hit hallowed ground and hoped they knew what they were talking about. They didn't. We wiped.
They immediately start yelling at me for pulling through like that. Now up to this point I had been working under the theory that these guys must be ileveled out the wazoo for this content because for the second half of Stormblood I've been struggling with more than one group. I tell them as much and said my normal cadence is two groups. So I proceed to pull 2 groups. There we more pains with that group but we did finally finish it. I was pretty miffed when I left as they sucked all the fun out of the penultimate dungeons of stormblood.
