From what I get of one of the translated JP rep posts, the punch auto-attack will still exist to force you to fight at range. It will switch to punching if you're in the enemy's face but continue auto-attacking with bows if you're at range.

This is such a bad Idea. Auto-Ranged attack is going to be nothing short of obnoxious.

Yeah so instead of being able to strategically output damage when its convenient, now you will have to untarget the enemy or put your weapon away every time you want to stop shooting it.

Citation please. I'm pretty sure activating a skill will just turn Auto attack back on.

heres a pro tip = turn around so your not facing target to stop attacking. it takes a split second to turn around if your not locking onto mobs
