I am fine with people complaining about something. Just because something is different doesnt make it good. I am fine if someone says that they are a bit sad that they have to do Hildebrand for it. (But at least they can skip the quests)

I am a bit baffled that people are already trying to judge the content itself. Content which we basically know nothing about. (Only the requirement for them to start) If the storyline turns out to be purely slapstic humor with horrible weapons and more then complain. But putting this content down before it even released...yeah thats a bit much.

Im 100% On Board with The next New Hildebrand Storyline Tieing into the Next Relic.
The idea of the next series being "Manderville Weapons" sounds absolutly awesome, and if they are joke weapons, I would LOVE that.

Not everything needs to be so serious, and people always complain about the Devs not thinking outside the box and doing something new and different.
Frankly, I think its good if we might be getting another HW style Weapon Grind. Eureka..I dont care, screw doing that place. Bozja, I loved it but I can agree with the flaws with its system, eureka as much as I hated it was future proofed while Bozja wasn't.
So, instead of doing another wide zone, why not an old school grind?
I am ALL for it.

For the Relic Step where we get to augment stats:
Win Gold Saucer games!

Win at Any Way the Wind Blows or The Slice is Right to increase Crit
Win at mahjong or chocobo racing to increase Determination
Win at Air Force One to increase Direct Hit
Win at Leap of Faith to increase Spell Speed or Skill Speed (depending on weapon)
Win at Cliffhanger to increase Tenacity
Win at Verminion to increase Piety

Let's go!

You could skip one hildibrand cutscene a day and still be done with it by the time the new relics came out.

That would be halarious if The Gold Saucer was apart of the grind.
Would REALLY drive engagement there.
But IF they did, id hope the requirements wouldnt be.....REALLY dumb. Like Win a Slice of Life Gate.
Id forever hate YoshiP if that was required

Took a break for the day and I come back to people being ok with the relic being turned into joke weapons and Gold Saucer being part of the grind. So savage is where I should go to get a serious weapon then. For now anyway.

If you personally dont like the idea thats fine. Sorry this expansion is trying something that doesnt appeal.

Who knows, MIGHT change your mind later. Not like we know what the weapons look like or even know how the real grind will be

Yeah and he tends to be sided with more sane characters in the relic quests, Gerolt is just the odd one they pick since he is considered the best blacksmith.

ShB was no different, the Bozjan leaders just picked him off and that's it.


Now I am very curious how the Mandeville work with Gerolt, Godbert is stupid rich and talented so the EW Hildibrand quests really gotta set something off, joke or not

No with the way that I see things going and the lineup of upcoming releases I think it's probably best that I just leave when the Crisis Core remaster comes out and just not come back until things here get back on track, if they ever do. Who knows even Diofield Chronicle might actually provide a better story experience than whatever this is heading to.
